Exactly what I needed for my Ender 3 Pro
Ive done a couple upgrades to my Ender 3 Pro and the Hotend was the final thing that still annoyed me. I hated the idea of the PTFE going all the way to the nozzel. Even after doing the captive PTFE hotend mod I still never fully trusted or liked the setup. That problem is now solved with this heartbreak....super easy to install, high quality product. It was a bit more expensive than some options but for me the extra cost for a solid reliable purchase was worth it.

Slice Engineering Copperhead Heat Break maid a noticeable improvement
Slice Engineering Copperhead Heat Break for ender 3 v2 and thermal paste for assembly. Received the parts quickly. Spent almost 2 hour cleaning everything up and installing new heat break and thermal paste. Recalibrated the Z offset did a few small test prints to verify Z offset. And printed a articulated dragon. It is a noticeable improvement. I increased my print speed 10% with improved print quality. The heat break was a little pricey, it is a direct replacement upgrade, and of very good quality. In my case the heat break was well worth the extra cost.My extruder, hotend and fan assemblies required no other modifications installing was very straightforward. I'm happy with the upgrade and would do to another printer. Thank you.

Worked great after reducing retraction on Ender 3 Pro
I decided to buy this heatbreak after reading up about requirements for printing ASA, but I am still a beginner and usually print with PLA. Installation was quite easy and I did use the boron nitride paste according to the Slice Engineering directions. When I first installed this, I went through the Teaching Tech calibration series of videos and tools. That led me to work with a retraction setting of 6mm which resulted in the least stringing. However, when I went to longer duration prints I got jams in the hotend leading to extruder grinding. It took me some time to determine that the likely cause was that pulling hot PLA high up into the heatbreak for traversals was very likely causing a clog. Upon switching to a lower retraction distance, I've been printing for several hours clog-free and am happy with this upgrade.

Why is this not standard? Best upgrade I have made.
The best upgrade I have made for my Ender 3 Pro. Before I installed, I was lucky to complete a 10 hour print. Heat creep, clog, extruder skipping. Clean out , repeat and pray. As I type this review I have finished my 3rd 20 hour+ print job. Full stop it has made printing fun again. Not limited to small jobs and projects. Just make sure to adjust your retraction settings for PLA. Buy the recommended thermal paste. Find a good install video on YouTube. Take your time and try it. I was able to purchase a second Ender used. Will be buying a second unit once I have installed and put back together. Seriously Creality swallow your pride and reach out to Slice engineering. These should be standard for all new units. I know the Ender 3 printers are entry level hobby printers. But good engineering is good business. The higher positioning of the feed tube is worth the money alone. Don’t buy cheap knock offs. You get what you pay for.

What a difference - Wow!
I'm pretty new to printing, but have learned a lot of lessons in the past few months. One was the burning of the PTFE tube end at the nozzle. I decided to try this heat break based on some YouTube recommendations. Wow! what a difference.First, be sure to do all your calibrations before making any serious prints. I found my filament estep setting drop a lot. Also all of my filaments are printing 5-10 degrees cooler. Most important, after doing print speed testing I found I can print at almost twice the original speed with what I consider an increase in print quality. I am really getting better prints in about half the print time! PLA, PETG and ABS so far.Is it an expensive add-on? Yes, but of all the things I've bought to expand my printer this is the #1 best purchase. It is truly a game changer!Last, I did buy the Slice boron paste. I can't say for sure if it makes a difference, but for those who may wonder if my results included that, it did. If you don't see the same results you, and you didn't apply the paste, I'd suggest trying it before you get discouraged.
