Excellent album!
I have followed these guys since 2007, and this album proves that they aren't afraid to push musical boundaries and step outside their comfort zone time and time again. This album is a continuation of their deviation from their original sound. While it isn't exactly Submersible-quality in terms of experimentation and novelty, Vines is superb. This album sounds much more put together than Start From Scratch, and it certainly sounds the band has completely integrated Fluid Minds' Mike DeGuzman's style into their music. The album is a roller coaster of mellow reggae, thumping rock, and electro jams, peppered with both soft acoustic rock and headbanging metal-esque riffs. All in all, this record rules.

You need to listen to this album at least twice and then buy it.
Passafire is one of the hardest working bands in music. Constantly touring and continuously striving to evolve as a unit, these guys continue to impress. This is the 6th year I've been going to shows (at least 2 a year) and it has been rewarding to watch each of them grow as people as well as musicians. This latest offering is a subtle blend of some of their older music and a newer, hipper sound. Lyrically is flashes back to the fun and inspired tracks like Barcelona and Feel It, but adds new twists in vocal presentation and global awareness. Two thumbs up, as always.

I just recently discovered this band a few weeks ago and I'm OBSESSED. This is the kind of music I've been waiting for! Immediately downloaded the album and have had it on non-stop since then. GET IT!

Another stellar album!
Solid songs! Passafire consistently writes catchy tunes with soul. My favorite tracks are Earthquake, Go, Invisible, and Black Dog.

Brilliant
The more I listen the more I fall in love. This album might be on par with their last offering. Even if it isn't it would be just shy of that level of greatness. 5 stars.

Vines is an amazing album
Been listening to these guys and following their live show for a few years now. Once I heard some of the new songs live (Invisible, Souvenir), I knew this album was going to be amazing. After listening to Vines; I can honestly say this is prob their most evolved and hardest rocking album. They don't completely stray from their original sound, but they do cross the boundaries of different music genres(prog rock, country, folk, etc). The lyrics on vines speak truth; they reflect on their experiences with personal matters and touring as a band.(All in Our Minds, Black Dog, Same Old Story) I really love this album and strongly recommend everyone check it out!
