Great product, small so can be mounted near or on your motorcycle battery
Wired it to use with my heated motorcycle jacket seems to work fine.Wired directly to my battery with on/off switch and a 7.5amp fuse. Product is good to use with limited space near or on your battery

Had to change my review after finding that my device needs 5v, not 9v. So I can't really say how good this item is. But it did arrive fast and seems to be of good quality. Also got it at a really good price.

WORKS GREAT!
I use this reducer on my 2000 ZX 6R Kawasaki to make the CDI box function property with my cheap Chinese aftermarket ignition. It is a great inexpensive way to replace the overpriced factory OEM ignition. I even tested it with a very sensitive voltmeter and it is exactly on point as advertise 7.4.

Dead on arrival.
Connected this to a 12 volt power source expecting the stated 3 volt output, but got ZERO volts. Disconnected and checked continuity: nothing. If you risk buying this, make sure you check it with a digital multimeter before wiring it into your project. I've tried the adjustable step down transformers here on Amazon, but can't get any of them adjusted below 3.2 volts, and I need exactly 3 volts. I returned this defective converter and ordered "12V-24V to 3V 5A Transformer Step Down Module Power Converter Voltage Regulator" (ASIN: B0D5DMHS7J) hoping for better luck when it arrives in a week or two from China.

Enough juice for Tx on a Baofeng UV-5R radio
It is working great powering a Baofeg UV-5R radio from a 12 Volt power source. This allows me to have the radio permanently powered without worrying of the traditional lithium battery that requires constant recharge. It has enough power to supply current for transmit mode.

I do recommend
