It does create curly lines
The pen is fun to explore as it does create circular curls when writing. Quite a bit of variety is possible if you change the angle or pressure on the pen. Best part is to be able to use it with many standard inexpensive pens.You will need a 2A battery as there is not one included.With shipping it cost me close to $18 US. A bit much for a cheaply made toy.A lot of money to write poorly.

Similar item sent but not as pictured.
The actual squiggle pen that was sent was really a lot more round and difficult to hold, shakes pretty strongly. Following package directions you have to put a pen in there yourself or marker which makes it really weird to hold. Because pens are much longer then the actual squiggle thing so it sticks out strangely. I was trying to buy the one in the picture and only got what I can say is a similar item.

All items came opened. None of the pens wrote. Total duds.
It looked like they sent me something that someone else returned. None of the pens worked and all of the packages were opened.
