Exactly as advertised!
I'll start out by saying I seldom leave product reviews. Almost never. I was pretty impressed with this unit. I first tried an Atoto A6PF. Hot garbage in my opinion, issues with Wi Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and not very user friendly. I returned it and got this Pioneer head unit. I have used many Pioneer audio products over the years, and they have all been solid. I put this in my 2004 Super Duty truck with the help of a Metra 95-5817 installation kit and it fits perfectly. It does require trimming the opening of the dash bezel on the top and bottom, but pretty minor and looks pretty good. it's a snug fit in the radio pocket of the dash also, so it is nice and solid once installed. Everything worked as it should, and the wireless Carplay works awesome. It was very easy to connect and the other features are easy to find and use also. I will be upgrading the speakers for sure, but it even sounds ok with the crappy factory speakers. I added the Amazon suggested back up camera and couldn't be happier. I did all the install work myself, no rocket science here and pretty straight forward. Really nice unit for this price range!

Excellent Head Unit!!
Wow, I was hesitant to buy this with some of the reviews. Now that I hooked mine up in my 2016 4Runner, those negative reviews or gripes are laughable.I got the used-like new condition open box but this is well worth the brand new price.Sounds excellent, wireless CarPlay works great! My steering wheel control interface picked up all my controls perfectly. Siri and phone calls with the microphone are clear with no problems.I don’t watch video, and you shouldn’t be if you’re driving. This is a stereo, not an iPad.Anyone who doesn’t think this isn’t the best value for your money either hooked it up wrong, or they are expecting entirely too much. There is a slight lag switching in between screens at times. That is the only con I can think of.

NOT SATISFIED WITH STEREO
so after some months of useage i have not been satisfied with this productat first it was a good product it would connect to carplay easily without difficulties but now it sometimes connects and sometimes it doesntalso not sure if once it gets hot itll have a lag in the music and turns off and disconnects from carplay and its a pain in the butt to put the carplay back since youll have to turn off the stereo then turn on and hope it works againother then that i like the fact how flush it sits in the truck i think thats itwouldnt recommend purchasing to those facts but paid for it already so might as well use it till i need another stereoi connected the stereo myself and had the carplay detecter on the side so it shouldnt be a issue to connect just annoying it disconnects everytime i drive the truck

Had it for a year, works fantastic!
Installation was decent, I did have to buy a few extra components mostly due to limitations on my older vehicle. I didn't have the right adapter for the radio to plug in, but that was cheap and easy to buy. My car also doesn't have the right wiring to tell the unit that brake was on but it hasn't been an issue. Maybe I'd be able to do more with it but it works fine without.Wireless android auto is very quick to connect every time, no lag.

AMAZING UNIT! If you're on the fence, just buy it!
I can't praise this unit highly enough! Nice clear, highly visible screen, great FM tuner, audio output is powerful with great response range as well. The Android Auto works FLAWLESSLY and is the best thing I've ever used! Seamless integration with Google Maps and Pandora makes road trips a blast. Phone auto connects when the car is started within 10 seconds. Hands free function works well too. I bought a backup camera for it but haven't connected that part yet but I'm sure it'll be great when we do. A++++ recommended!

Pioneer DMH-W2770NEX
Most entry level Pioneer head units are easy to install, easy to navigate and have decent sound quality. This one is somewhat easy to navigate, has decent sound quality but the install was a pain. This is the first Pioneer head unit that I have installed where you need to install the GPS antenna. If you do not install the GPS antenna, you will not have a clock or date on the display. The reverse camera input is a brown RCA on the Pioneer, not yellow like most other units. Everything else is self explanatory for installation. The 13 band EQ allows customization across the frequencies to fine tune your speakers output. Apple CarPlay is wireless, or wired, depending on your preference.

A little disappointed
First off, it does what it claims to do. But, I find it somewhat disappointing. I got this totally for phone and gps/mapping - audio/radio was not important. Phone integration is good for calls, texts, etc. GPS/Nav is just okay. What this doesn't show (that my phone does) is your speed, and speed limits. The time of day display is very hard to see on the map screen, does show okay on default home screen. Wish it had a (full screen) clock display mode, and prominent clock display on all screens. Time and distance to destination is displayed on map screen, but could be larger or bolder print - not easy to just take a quick glance at. Not impressed with radio reception quality, but again I didn't get this for the radio. For the price, it's okay. Did my own install which was straightforward (04 Subaru Legacy Outback). Operating documentation sucks, but experimenting lets you "discover" how to do things. For example, to navigate to a contact, you need to be on the contacts screen before asking it to do so (otherwise it can't find the contact address info). Calling contacts seems to work okay from any screen. I would expect it to be able to find a contacts address from the map screen (where you would expect to be when wanting to navigate, right?). Have had to teach it my voice more than once - "Hey Google" worked, then stopped working until I re-taught it. Pushing the microphone button always brought it up. No way to dim the display for night driving without connecting a "light switch" input, and if you turn your lights on during the day, it dims to where you can't see it.
