I don't normally leave negative reviews, either because I return the item for an exchange or don't buy crappy products.This is me making an exception.This is one of the biggest pieces of garbage I ever ever bought on amazon, and I've bought other led strips in the past. This fails on mainly levels, and not just because I likely got a poorly produced one.First of all for those curious in purchasing this, the install on this is frustration. The tape used isn't very good. Secondly. The connector used for connecting the three strips is incredibly flimsy. It doesn't not snap anyway and the lightest force can separate the leds during install. God forbid you have wire hanging, I had to tape mine together so it didn't separate from mere gravity.The connectors doesn't just fail there though. It looks symmetrical yet if you flip the connector the colors of your led will not match. You can have randomly one strip blue and the other red.The receiver and remote are often unresponsive. They will work about 75% of the time and others won't change the color or turn on or off for that matter.These pink color if absolutely terrible. It looks like a white light with a tinge of purple.And after a mere week of use, two of the strips stopped working, tried flipping connectors, etc, and got it to kinda work, but colors were different and the strips wevere barely lighting.Basically the product broke after a couple days, and it was alrdy a fail of a design.Absolutely do not recommend, even if I just received a faulty product the product itself was terrible and maybe worth 2 stars. 1 because of how long it lasted.

well made lights very nice tape backing, sticks well, better than double sided tape used on most lights. This brand uses the 3m strong grip foam tape, holds up very well. very sticky, still can remove and reposition should the need arise. this version is RF, tv remote actually would turn on lights and change modes, little frustrating, since it would come on and remote would change functions. Works great but could never figure tv remote pattern to use and change functions, remote that came with lights is basic but well built, remote has a scroll through function so have to go through different functions in order to get to function you seek, not a bad thing but don't expect to just get to a function in one button push. maybe be several or a dozen pushes. eventual you get there just takes a second, lights can be dimmed, or set to fade and fade speed can be adjusted. some basic colors are on remote, not a big variety, but sure you can adjust with the various functions on remote. I just use the few basic colors, really no need to customize, but sure can be done. Flashes, fades, pulse, speed can be adjusted and brightness control. all functions exist, just have to scroll through them to get to what you want. easy basic remote but can customize lights to your liking. Lights are really bright and show bright on wall if installed on back of TV. Have newer tv so remote doesn't turn light on or off like old TV remote. So some remote codes may work on old brand remote, newer tv and these coded don't seem to affect lights at all. I guess it just depends on TV and remote code versions. Would buy again should the need arise. Everybody is making these light just be careful which version you buy, had some that get really hot some were poorly made and peeling plastic back. others brands melted(fire hazard) these seem to work just right. cool to touch, solid backing, nice stick tape, solid tiny remote, customize able.

This led light strip actually was easy to install and the remote worked as it was supposed. Unfortunately, however, it didn't last. I walked into my theater room, turned the strip on with the remote, and it began a fast blink with a combination of yellow and white light, and nothing I could do could change it. I unhooked the usb, reconnected it and it was still stuck. I took it off the back of my 70 inch flat screen, laid it out and disconnected each connection and reconnected it, plugged it into the usb, and the strip worked again. I reinstalled with new adhesive as the backing was no longer sticky, plugged it into the usb, and walla, it was back to a fast blink with the same combination as before with the combination of yellow and white. Over a period of the next three days, I did this 3 more times, and the after the third time, I chunked it into the trash where it rightfully belonged. Update: One thing I didn't mention in my initial review, and that was the lights looked very vibrant when this strip worked. A suggestion I would make due to poorly made connectors, would be to use electrical tape and secure all the connectors before putting the strip up, and by doing that, it may prevent yours from getting the terminal fast blink due to the connectors not staying connected.

Power supply failed, over heated and had I not smelled burning plastic, and seeing the lights change temperature color from set blue, to purple/pink from them overheating.That's how you know your lights have a problem. A change in color temperature. Same with HIDs. I buy a lot of LEDs and lights, I'm kinda a nut... But I really don't recommend these lights UNLESS you run a different power supply.The wall power suppl it came with was way too small for operating more than 1 strip continuously. The LEDs are off good quality, remote is handy and works nicely, but just be aware if you try these and lights gradually change colors.

I was excited at first, but the remote doesn't work properly now. The buttons provide unpredictable results. I don't know if it's the remote or the receiver, but it still kind of works. You can still cycle through the colors and stop when you reach the one you want. I only use it as a back light behind my TV, so I don;t rotate through colors that frequently.
