Q: When the cart is folded and cover is on, the cart doesn't stand upright without falling down, unlike the photo. Am I missing something?

I make sure the wheels are spread apart just a little when I fold it up

It should be simple. Just pull the ends apart and it will open. Perhaps the wheels are in lock position so release the wheels.

Q: could you hitch this to another wagon?

I connect it to my mobility scooter all the time it great!!

Q: Are the wheels made of rubber or plastic?

The wheels are made of hard plastic. I will say that it works pretty okay in the sand. Obviously it’s a bit tough in super loose sand (all of these carts have a hard time). I live in SoCal and have had zero issues using it last summer. This carts works WAY BETTER than the thin wheeled carts in the sand. Don’t buy those if you’re going to use it in the sand.
