Real Salt still has all of the natural trace minerals in it which are red and dark giving it the pink color.

Q: What are the dark colored stuff among the pinkish crystals? It tastes like salt but don’t dissolve in water and Not feels like crystal. Is it edible?

Redmonds is not processed as other companies do with their salt. It contains trace minerals that are healthy and good for us to ingest because our bodies need them to perform hormonal functions. Their website has a great pdf that you can review for free.

I have not had any problem with what you mention above. This is REAL salt mined here in America. It comes directly from a salt bed in Utah. There will be variance in the color/texture but that doesn't make it inedible. The course salt is meant to be put through a grinder.
