Inconsistent density
Value for money would be great if it worked like advertised. But as you see the attached images, its useless. Upper left and lower right or darker than the rest of the filter. Simple, inconsistent density. You don't have to take pictures to see how bad it is a quick look in the EVF or camera LCD during live view u will see thr issue. I had to take these pictures to justify returning reason. Try to find better quality filter and avoid this

Lackluster performance
Bought this filter based on the description.Tried few shots soon after delivery through the range; attached pictures show the performance of this item: ND8 - lack of uniformity and ND128 - Dark diagonal corners. Between ND8 and ND128 a mixture of the two. If the convenience of having a graded filter means significant impact on the quality of your pictures, what is the point?

Good quality
Great quality glass. The price was reasonable. The variable filter provides extra flexibility and saves space while travelling. This is key for me as I travel a lot and like to travel as light as I can. I did not experience any chromatic aberration, loss of definition or the dreaded X.Overall great product.

Works well, very good value
The ND8 to ND128 filter covers a very useful range. There is no visible banding and very little colour change. More test are required to determine the performance in greater detail and different conditions, but I am impressed with the initial results, which show good consistency and accuracy of markings on the filter ring.

Just Works
A very nice ND filter for the price, no noticeable effect on sharpness for video work (though not tested with high resolution photography) and minimal issues with flaring in bright sunlight so the coatings work quite well. As long as you use it within the specified ranges you won't see the typical X pattern of variable ND filters. Does what it needs to do without detriment to image quality, which makes it a pretty perfect filter for the price.
