What I liked was the support we received from the company. My umbrella was new, but at least 15 years old, new in the box and I finally moved to a place where it could be used. The pole for mine is round, so when we called product support was excellent, they explained exactly what we needed to do. We had to drill holes to accommodate the alignment to my umbrella. They were patient and helped us work through the issue to a solution. Because I needed an umbrella that I could move with a bad back this was and is the best solution. Imagine a woman trying to do this alone. Especially for a Cantilever style umbrella. Great design and product. Thank you.

When I came across the GenShed wheeled umbrella base, I honestly believed I had a slam dunk. It was movable, good looking, and used materials I already own as weight. Putting it together wouldn’t have been a problem either…shoot I love putting together Ikea furniture…so this would be another fun project. Where GenShed lost me was that they sent me something which obviously had already been previously returned to them.First and foremost, something happened to the outside box. Not the seller’s fault, but right there I was suspicious. Next, all the inside boxes had already been previously opened, and then horribly sealed with duct tape…duct tape 🤨. Parts were missing (i always take inventory of everything to make sure I have everything to assemble the item). Furthermore, there was visible damage on the arms that support the base that tel me someone tried fiddling with the assembly, couldn’t figure it out, and then started engineering their own solution. On short, I was really disappointed.GenShed, please… if I wanted a used item…i would prefer that the price of what I bought reflect that it is previously owned. Had to return this item.

We use this base for our 9 x 15 cantilever umbrella. With about 260 lbs we can easily push the base together with the umbrella to cover different locations and also adjust with the Sun’s movement for fully shading. It has an all metal frame and uses the patio stone as the filling weight, so it’s a very sturdy structure which will last longer than the normal plastic container. The top surface tray is a big plus since its makes the occupied and wasted space functional! Assembly was easy and very straightforward. Overall it is a very great design and a solid product which I highly recommend!

Love this umbrella base. It was easy to assemble. I like that you add as much weight to it using stepping stones.
