Quality with a small flaw in beauty
These speakers belong to the better quality class. I have them mounted in a 3-band system with a power of 2x1kW (as a replacement for the original type). The design and execution is really very high quality. Unfortunately, the membrane is described by the inscription DS18. For a nice effect, but with one speaker, the inscription was rotated a few degrees in the axis, so the holes in the cabinet had to be drilled. (See below) If you have the speakers covered, it doesn't matter. However, the biggest problem with both speakers are the mounting holes. They have standard dimensions, but off the axis by up to 6 mm !! (everyone !). I had to cut the cabinet openings with a cutter and "mask" the screws with a decorative rubber trim. So I was drilling holes in both cabinets! 2 days of work to make everything OK! However, the result was positive than expected. Sound clear, clean. I use the speakers only in the middle band from 1.5 to 8 kHz. I tested the whole set on a CD from the 80's (1984-Smokie-Back Alleys). Most current CDs have such a high compression that the quality of the speakers is completely unnecessary and useless. Sad in 2020, right?) The dynamics are really very pleasant, the sound undistorted, clean and concrete-sharp. The 12-string guitar sounds really majestic here. (2 "speaker coil is a great advantage) You will feel large reserves of power of the whole PA set. It's just a pity that the overall impression - the evaluation of the product spoils the mentioned shortcomings.
