The Copperhead Series snake hook is fantastic! The 33-inch length is perfect for indoor use, even in tighter enclosures. The stainless steel and copper construction makes it lightweight yet sturdy. I also find it ideal for tap training—it helps create a clear boundary between handling and feeding, which is great for my boa's behavior. The comfortable grip makes it easy to maneuver in cages and small spaces. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-built tool that I highly recommend for any reptile keeper!

I have this version and the 43 inch version. Both are exceptionally well made and designed. There is an angle all the way around making it easier to pickup snakes from all angles. The handle is nice and tacky , the weight is good, it just works perfectly.I also like how well packed the hooks come, and the nice hand signed tag. You can tell the person making these really takes pride in them, and could easily charge more.I’d like to see an option for a cone shape hook end to maximize picking up snakes at all angles, especially on the 33” length is most likely going to be used for getting snakes out of from opening cages.The 33” is great at home for various snakes, but I really like the 43” for outdoors as the extra reach means more safety for large rattlesnakes.After trying hooks from multiple manufacturers these are by far my favorite if nothing else for the attention to detail and feel.I have no directly communicated with the seller, but no reason to believe it won’t be anything but a stellar experience.

We got this to replace our flimsy telescoping snake hook we got from the big box pet store. I initially thought I wouldn't be happy with one that didn't telescope, but this hook is so sturdy and I love the golfclub-like grip. I highly recommend this snake hook, it's worth every penny and gives the impression it will last for years and years.For the record, we use it with our corn snake and 2 ball pythons, none of which are aggressive but if it's getting close to feeding day they sometimes eye our hands as if they were nice juicy rats, so we feel safer with the hook. I would be comfortable taking this outside as well if we went on a hike.

I love this product. Got one of those little retractable snake hooks a while back(for only a little less than what I paid for this one), and my California king snake snapped it in half. This is a sturdy tool. The fact that it is made of stainless steel is fantastic. I just got mine about a week ago and have spent hours In the woods using it already. Light enough to carry around for a long time, and strong enough to flip things over with and look underneath. Would absolutely recommend to any reptile enthusiasts or even just someone who loves wandering around in the woods! Would definitely buy again but I’ve got a feeling this one will be with me for a long time.

I’m always a bit skeptical on purchasing things due to bad/ okay reviews. It has a really nice handle, feels nice to grip, most importantly it can pick up my fat ball python. ZooMed has a flimsy snake hook to which i kept having to rebuy it due to it breaking. This hook genuinely supports the snake and is wonderful to handle.

This hook is perfect for working in the snake room. I would not trust a cheap piece of crap , working with venomous. Had one, where the hook literally fell out of the shaft, allowing the snake to fall a couple of feet. Thankfully, there was no injury, snake was retrieved, luckily I had some old quality Whitney tongs handy to control the snake.;. I had to JB weld the hook back into the shaft. Buy quality people, for your safety and the reptiles.

I recieved the package in short time, and in excellent condition. Was very Satisfied with the shipping. I was reluctant at first to use the hook, because of its light weight. I used it on my common boa. At 22.3 pounds. The hook handled her full weight and did not bow in the middle. I then used it on adult and juvenile western Diamondbacks. The hook was perfect for the largest, down to the smallest. It's a great length and kept my hands out of strike range, while I moved them for cage cleaning. This is a great book for anyone who has need for a hook. I would recommend to my friends, and will be buying some more for myself in the near future.

I have had/used a lot of hooks over my life, all the way from hooks I made myself to expensive professional ones, so I feel quite capable of judging quality and utility. Although it's officially "cage" sized, I purchased it (as a professional herpetologist) to use on international field expeditions as the hook that's easiest to fit in all luggage and that is always with me, even when the expeditionary gear bags with the longer hooks and tongs aren't. While some snakes I encounter will be too big to safely handle with this, the majority won't, and I love being able to pin things just long enough to buy myself a few extra seconds to be 100% confident in my identification, especially when working someplace new. Great construction, good weight - I can't wait to use it!
