Pulp Riot Semi-Permanent Hair Color for Unisex, Mercury Silver, 4 Ounce

Okay so honest review for Mercury hair dye... It's great. I do not usually leave reviews, but I was compelled to leave one for this due to the mixed reviews I saw initially when I went to purchase this shade.It will absolutely not work if your hair is not light enough, lvl 10 bright as heck hair is needed.My hair prior was already a soft shade from Powder blue fading and me using a Wella toner to keep it semi grey colored. However, I used the Pulp Riot Blank Canvas Color Remover and that worked wonders to remove just about every drop of previous color from my hair, it does leave you with a "freshly bleached" look though. (That's with a 6% developer)I then bleached my roots as per usual (they turn white cuz my hair loves bleach), I use BlondeMe by Schwartzkopf because it's literally the best and smells amazing unlike other bleach. (20% developer)So my Entire Head was basically bleach blonde. I used a purple shampoo to tone out any brass/yellow colors.No conditioner or oils etc, then dry the hair Before applying the Mercury tone.I left the Mercury tone in for 1hr between the application process for it, then my black, then waiting to rinse black out shampoo, conditioner, and dry. THEN I washed shampoo and conditioner the Mercury sideMy hair ... Is a process. Incredibly worth it though if you desire to have this colorThere is a slight lavender tone to it depending on the lighting which is why you can see it in one pic better than the other. My hair is definitely more grey when it's wet as well, but overall 10/10 it's exactly the shade I wanted, just took some elbow grease to get there.Main piece of advise.. Stick to one brand, pulp riot has a great color remover For pulp riot colors. arctic fox is the same way. They know their formulas best and it allows you flex between colors easier with less damage

I love it. I used it to tone all red out of level 6 hair. It picked up the higher highlights and was super easy to use.

It just washed out of my hair and didnt dye anything but that could be due to the state of my hair at the time.

Hair has to be very blonde for this cooor to show.. but love all there colors and quiality of this dye

If it were possible I’d give this product zero stars. I color my own hair on the regular and usually only use manic panic semi permanent dye. This product had decent reviews so I thought I’d give it a try. I had already lifted my dark brown hair to the highest it will go with 40 volume developer so my hair was actual blonde. The color barely took to my roots turning it a brassy brown while the remainder simply washed out. I left the color on my bleached hair for over and hour and saw basically no change. There were a few patches of partially silver/ dingy gray spots. Overall this product was a major disappointment. Perhaps it doesn’t work on bleached hair only natural blondes to achieve the desired effect and if so the manufacturers should make a note of that. Boo to this product. I regret not taking pictures just so consumers could see how bad my color didn’t turn out.

Smoke is actually a slate blue/green. My hair was platinum/white and I even added a bit of eggplant to try to tone the green/blue before applying but it still is more of a smokey blue than anything resembling grey. Disappointing. Been dyeing my hair for over 20 years so it's not like I'm new to this. Also, cost more, washed out quicker, and gave a smaller amount of dye than Directions. Going back to my usual dye after this.
