A lot of grumpy people in the reviews here. Yes the squares are darker than some other Tian Zi Ge notebooks I 've bought but so what? I'm using a blue pen on black squares. Everything is perfectly readable and even if it weren't, I'm not really trying to go back and read where I repeated some character 10x. I'm trying to learn the character by writing it inside a box.

Lots of room to practice Chinese characters. The boxes are a perfect size to work on them. The material is nice quality too.

I bought this paper based on the images, which were shown only for the cover. It turns out the printing on the inside is black, not a faint beige--like on the front and back cover--or even grey. My pencil lines don't show over black.

just use pen to write. as others have noted, the squares are literally black and pencil writing doesn’t stand out enough against the black outlines of the squares. don’t bother using this as a proper notebook but rather a practice notebook for practicing handwriting. one review said you probably wouldn’t care if you’re just writing the same character repeatedly, you probably wouldn’t look back at it. i agree, but its still disappointing. also, the squares are huge.

The lines through the centre of the boxes are too dark. It is not possible to see strokes you write that bisect these dark lines

L’unica nota negativa è la mancanza di linee tratteggiate all’interno del quadrato per facilitare le proporzioni durante la scrittura dei caratteri (lo uso per cinese), per il resto la carta è spessa e non traspare nel caso si usino pennarelli ecc.

The grid lines on this pad are completely black - so it’s very difficult to see what you’ve written.straight in the bin with this junk.
