JAVAcid Coffee Acid Reducer

For a few years, I had to stop drinking coffee completely until I discovered JAVAcid, which I've now been using for years. I've tried numerous other acid reducers, but JAVAcid is the best by far. It is the most effective in protecting your tummy from coffee acids; it in no way distorts the flavor of the coffee; and it mixes so smoothly you wouldn't even know it's in there. It's expensive, but if you really want to enjoy your coffee without digestive discomforts, it's well worth the price. Reorder two to three weeks before you run out of it because delivery can be slow.

I read about this product here on Amazon.com. It sounded perfect, so I ordered it directly from the company in the morning on Dec. 1. It is Dec. 10 and the item has not even been put in the mail yet. I called and emailed to inquire about the status of the order, and they have not returned my calls or emails at all. I discovered on the website that the credit card payment was cleared and the payment was authorized immediately. It might be a good product, but customer service does not get any worse than this. I won't order from a company like this. I bought another chewable, chocolate flavored brand at a local health food store yesterday. It works fine. Note: Today, after the company received my last email stating that I was going to review the company's product on Amazon.com I received an email apology. I will edit this review when and if I receive the refund or the product. I had planned on recommending this product to my patients for GI issues. I'm still hoping this is a good product from a good company. More to come...Update: 12/13/12. I received an email and phone apology. I received the product yesterday. I tried it this morning. I love it. It works very well. I do like the fact that you stir this powder into your coffee because if you savor your coffee, like I do, a pill isn't going to work as well. You wouldn't know when to take it. The product has no taste to it. I will keep using this product, and hopefully I won't have any problems with delivery of future orders.Update: I actually think my ulcer is going away. I have no problem with coffee. This makes me very happy because it was getting bad for a while. I have ordered again, and I called the company to make sure my next shipment was on its way. I never want to run out again. I highly recommend this amazing product. It's also very easy to take on a trip.

It's basically tums, but you mix it in your coffee, making your coffee more expensive. If you have a mortar and pestle you can grind up some tums and mix it in instead. Or you could just eat a tums before you have your coffee. Then you have to eat a gross tums (which you are probably eating all the time anyway), but your coffee will not be all wierd.

This is now showing unavailable here and on the website. I am beyond inconsolable; Javacid sprinkled on a very small coating of barbecue sauce on a chicken breast, stirred into mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, etc. allows some normality (homemade salad dressing) in an IC life. It doesn't take a whole tube for me, just a reasonable amount in a few tablespoons or sprinkled like salt over something like barbecue sauce on food.IC is difficult. When there are times you can only eat the white bread (unless the rolls are sourdough or rye) on the restaurant menu, this powder makes it possible to order as bland as possible and still get some sort of food. Speaking of which, would restaurants PLEASE stop putting pepper, including white pepper, in EVERYTHING?Praying production starts up again, as Prelief gives me horrible IBC symptoms.Editing to add that it is once again available. I suffer from bouts of Gastritis as well as interstitial cystitis. Basically, I'm a mess, especially when I eat things containg tomatoes, pineapple, or drink coffee. I ordered JAVAcid while searching for low acid coffees that had reviews like, "tastes like tree bark", or "tastes like awful swill". I figured, it MUST taste better than tree bark. Not that I have actually licked a lot of tree bark mind, and it probably has bird pee on it, so I think I'll bypass that experience. Plus, I like to keep my consumption of awful swill to a minimum. Anyway, tree bark coffee or JAVAcid...this seemed like a no brainer. Well, I have just finished a cup of regular Carabu coffee (medium roast with caffeine) and I'm happy to say that 1. It did not taste like tree bark and 2. I am not suffering from any gut pain, hunger gnawing, or any type of bladder pain. As a matter if fact, this is my third cup of coffee this week using JAVAcid. This is up from zero cups of coffee for three months, and I think I might die from the happiness. It dissolves completely, it tastes like noting, and it doesn't leave gross sludge at the bottom of my cup. Most importantly it doesn't taste like tree bark. I ordered two boxes each containing 30 packets. Basically, for $22 I'll be happily drinking coffee for two months. This is reasonable. Conclusion: JAVAcid worked for me, wasn't outrageously expensive, and didn't taste like awful swill.

This is the best product for anyone that deals with acid reflux!!! I have delt with severe reflux for years and I love my coffee. This product has been life changing for me!!

This product produced horrible gas and bloating for us. We looked at the javacid.com website and, interestingly, the description is totally different than on Amazon. This product does NOT, in fact, alter the acidity of coffee, rather it neutralizes/takes away your body's own stomach acid for up to 12 hours! Most Americans have too little acid, not too much, ingesting a product that takes away your body's stomach acid for up to 12 hours is not good. Studies show that acid reflux and the like are actually, now being seen by experts to be caused by too little stomach acid. Also, contacted seller 3 times and never got a refund.
