Expensive - but works great.
I wish this stuff didn't cost so much, but it definitely delivered as promised. I put a giant crack in the black tank on my sister's RV and didn't think it was repairable. The crack was about 2 feet long and zigzagged all over one end of the tank. She ordered a new tank but after 13 weeks waiting for delivery with no end in sight, I decided to try to fix it with G/Flex 655 and embedded fiberglass mat strips. The tank is made of ABS plastic and the G/Flex instructions said it would work with that.First I pried the parts of the tank that were pushed in back out again so there was no more than about an 1/8-inch gap along the crack, although I think this would have worked even if the gap was a little larger than that. Then I ran a wire wheel over the entire area to rough it up and improve adhesion. After that I cleaned the whole area with acetone. I then applied a thick coat of G/Flex after mixing the resin and hardener 50/50. I covered the entire length of the crack and extended a significant distance beyond it just for added strength. With the first coat still wet, I embedded strips of fiberglass mat into the wet G/Flex all along the length of the crack, and then added another coat of G/Flex over the fiberglass. I then let that dry for 24 hours. The next day I put another heavy coat of G/Flex over the entire area, then let it dry for another 24 hours. It's really amazing how well this stuff worked. I put water in the tank and it didn't leak a single drop. So I filled it up completely with water, then drove the trailer around town to shake it up and try to expose any leaks. I also drove over a rough dirt road. It didn't leak a drop. So I drained the tank, went over the repaired area with sand paper and put a coat of black paint on it. It's good as new now.In the end I only used about half of the two quarts of G/Flex I had purchased. So I'll have more for other repairs.I wasn't too happy with the price of this stuff, but when I think of what this would have cost me for a new tank, it was money well spent. The new tank would have cost around $1,000 after purchase, shipping and installation by an RV repair shop.Word to the wise: Don't try to jack up an RV by the drag bars at the back of the trailer. This one was screwed to the frame with small screws (something I'd failed to notice). The frame started to bend and the screws snapped off, which shifted the RV (and black tank) right over the top of my floor jack as it came down. I'm just glad the tank was empty, and I wasn't under it at the time.

Very strong epoxy for a PVC/Plastic boat
I used this epoxy to piece together my pontoon boat deck after I had to cut it apart to remove saturated flotation foam. The epoxy is wonderfully strong and adheres very well when the directions are followed. I haven't tried any sanding or finishing of the seams, which came out a little messy as the epoxy isn't super easy to smooth out.. but that's not biggy. What matters is it holds extremely well, seems to flex well at the seams, and was easy to work with. 10/10 would use again.

USE YOUR PPE !
A little hard to mix but it works great. USE YOUR PPE though as it will irritate the skin with repeated exposure.SUPER STICKY - Make sure you site prep.

Thought it was unthickened but worked well
Need better labeling in ad noting it is thickened. It actually worked great mixed with the regular and no drips. Little tougher to saturate felt

This Stuff Works!
I am using this product, which I mix with sanding dust and tint, to fill in gaps in my very old pine board floor in my old house. I have to first frog tape the edges of the gaps. I use a popsicle stick to get the mix into the gap, then leave the frog tape on for a couple hours. The frog tape has to be removed then, or it will stick to the floor if any epoxy gets beneath it. The epoxy is easy to use and has a long enough time after mixing (about a half hour) to get each batch fully applied. The only draw back is that it is expensive. Also, the West System company tech team is especially knowledgeable and helpful. They were helpful and patient with me when I called with questions as I had never previously used an epoxy.

Awesome product, extremely thick and defies gravity.
I used this to fill large holes on an aluminum boat and attach a new layer of aluminum over the top, also using rivets. Awesome product, but you need to be prepared to apply it. A popsicle stick or small plastic putty knife is perfect, its way too thick to brush on. It can be pretty difficult to estimate how much of each part you’re taking out of the cans because its so thick, so weighing it may give more accurate results.

Using West Systems G/Flex 655 with Paper Stone
This is easy to use and works well on Paper Stone counter top products. Comes in two cans and is like mixing most any other epoxy. It is easy to ues but the bond appears to be excellent. It does take a long to cure but that gives a long working time. I used an epoxy coloring agent to turn it black so it matched the counter top color. It didn't affect the bond and hid the joints.

great product
This is great epoxy. Be sure to give it enough time to cure fully. It will harden overnight, but takes a little longer to reach full strength.
