UPDATE: I tried better sealing the top cap, I also used 3 types of liquid soap, same issue, after a couple of hours you have to wave your hand 3-4 times until it starts dispensing.CONCLUSION: DO NOT BUY!We liked the design of this dispenser and indeed it looks nice. It seems that the sensor works as expected, firing every time motion is detected, but that's about where the positive stops.I have to wave my hand at least 2 times to get something out. If it was not used in 24 hours, then I have to wave it 3 times at least... that's not acceptable.I tried different types of soap, not too thick, a bit thicker, thick (had to clean it after thick soap!), foam soap and I had no success with either.If soap is too thin, it will not dispense at all.If soap is too thick it may dispense just a tiny bit, but it sounds like the pump is working hard (avoid this!).If soap is not too thick it will dispense, but after a while, when using again, you have to pump a couple of times until soap is dispensed.This is telling me that when not not in use, the soap level will go down and will not be ready for next dispense. The top cap is properly seated to not allow air in, still not working as needed.I got a foam dispenser device and that one is providing soap at first wave every time!

Bought it for my toddler. Works well under toddler's duress. Didn't last long.

Does the trick but you have to move hand around a lot to get the soap to dispense.Pretty on the counter. This is second one first one didn’t last long gets funky where batteries are because they get wet! Need battery compartment on side or top. Will not recommend or buy again.

The first one I ordered stopped working after seven days, I returned it and received a new one; the second one stopped working after less than two weeks, I returned it and asked for a return. Based on my experience, I can not recommend this product.
