I like that you can control either outlet independently or in concert. Using it on kid tv and game system upstairs to control access. Works well.

It was easy to install. All I had to do was hook 2 wires to 2 screws then 2 screws to hold it in the box, then 2 screws for the cover. That's it. We also use it to turn our lights on, from the driveway, so its not dark inside. I give it 5 stars

The remote for our patio lights quit so we got a smart outlet. We haven't been able to get it to work on the Alexa app yet.

I bought the Merkury Smart in-wall outlet. The installation was easy enough but when my husband put the face plate on he found that there was only one screw in the sealed package and we needed two screws. He tried calling the customer service and they were absolutely no help. All he wanted was for them to send him another screw and they kept insisting that we had to go through Amazon. When I tried to see what Amazon could do for us they could only do an exchange or refund. Since we are not going to uninstall the outlet we just decided to try and find a screw at the hardware store. Simple, right? Wrong. This screw is not a standard size and we thought a metric size would fit but that didn't fit either. So we just left one screw out and since it's on the bottom portion of the wall it doesn't really show. Then when I tried to program the timer, I had a terrible time trying to follow the steps listed in the directions. I finally went online to the Geeni app and was able to figure out how to find the icons they were talking about and got the timer set finally. I hope I don't have to change the timer settings ever because it's not a user friendly app. I have Sylvania smart plugs which are wonderful to program but they don't make an in-wall outlet. I don't think I would buy another one of these in the future.

This outlet makes it so easy to set a timer to power something on. You can plug your lights in and when you are not home set a timer for them to go off or on. The app made it very easy to set up and use.Love it.

This installs just like any other outlet. It does require that it be hooked up to a ground wire. After that setup thru the app is very straightforward!

Stopped working after a month. Had to go back to a regular outlet
