If you have a son, or have boys in your family, if you’re a teacher or coach, this book is required reading. The author, a recovering addict, is cracking the code on why many young men are struggling with isolation and lack of purpose. Through telling his own story, and the stories of some of his clients, he suggests how to interrupt destructive patterns to enable these emerging men to thrive as adults. This was an enlightening read.

This is a great book. It reads easy and tells an important story about finding your way. I found a new and fresh perspective about the excitement, fun, and challenges of men emerging from youth into a meaningful life. The Primal Method describes the difficulties of addictions and the depression and apathy that happens. The journeys of several young men who became lost in these difficulties are shared. And, it describes what can help. The primal motivation that seems to be within each man is described. We are told how we can re-awaken our primal motivation through shared experiences, mentoring, good challenges, and the great mystery of the hidden power of all men. Reading The Primal Method: A Book for Emerging Men will surely help men find their way to a real passion for the journey of discovery about who they are, where they belong, who they were meant to be, and how to get there.

For parents/ grandparents of males who see them struggling to find their path this is a must read. If not visibly struggling, this book will help you guide your sons on their journey. Oh to have had access to Gregorie's insights when my sons and their friends were younger. Thank you Gregory for your honest input and for the work you are doing each day in the lives of so many.I highly recommend you take the time to engage with this special book!!

Seems like there is an actionable plan lurking in the book. Maybe the next page. Next chapter. And then you are at the end. Maybe if I reflect a while it will pop out of my minds eye. The podcast on art of manliness is a must have companion. I kept coming back to what he said there to fill in the blanks.
