provided stable structure for my antenna
I have a new flat roof and did not want to make holes in it so I created a 4 x4x3/4 plywood platform weighted cinder blocks to attach the tripod to.

Good Quality
This is the 2nd tripod I have purchased from Stellar Labs. Very study. I am using them to hold wind sensors which are attached to a mast. Delivery was made 3 days ahead of estimated date. Only thing I have to do is spray paint the tripod as living on the east coast of Florida have a lot of sea salt mist and it causes lot of rusting on metal. Coating to protect the tripod.

Great for security cameras
I use this as a temporary mounting solution for surveying areas that I want to permanently mount security cameras. It gives me a chance to move the cameras to different locations. So far it has worked out quite well.

Sturdy
A solidly built product. Note that the description "Length: 36 in Width: 6.75 in. Height: 6.25 in." refers to the size of the tripod when it is folded. When the legs are fully extended the footprint of the tripod is larger than 25" by 25".

Not aligned correctly and not good for anything substantial.
The most annoying part of this product is that the bottom ring is not aligned with the top ring no matter how you try to articulate the legs. It's a matter of a misassemble arm during the riveting process at the manufacturer. I have other tripods that are flawless in this feature. After all... It's meant to hold a mast straight up! In the end, I wound up offsetting the placement of the tripod to my roof ridge so that the mast is vertically aligned straight. Luckily it is used on my shed so it isn't an eye-sore to the general public driving by.The other issue is the lack of rigidity. After screwing everything down to the roof, the top apex/ring of the tripod is wobbly. A result of the design and loosely fastened rivets. Not a big deal if you are mounting something light yet robust. However, I would not feel comfortable hanging anything like an amateur radio antenna on it.Spend the extra dollars and get a tripod that is fixed and welded together.
