I was quite pleased with this and surprised that such an inexpensive item worked so well. The adage “you get what you paid for” applies. It stopped working within a few months, after fewer than a dozen uses.Update: the manufacturer reached out to me after reading my 2 star review. They apologized for the fact that it stopped working. They offered to refund my money (unsolicited from me!) They also asked if I would like to try their new model (gratis)!It just arrived, so I haven’t had time to use it (which accounts for the new rating) but I needed to document their superb customer service.

I LOVE this little gadget! If I cannot find a bag/chip clip, this is right on the side of the fridge and heats up and seals a bag shut in seconds. I like that when you're holding it, you don't even realize it's hot, you just feel the heat on the bag on the sealed section. This has come in handy when packing for picnics and other outings where I want to bring candy/chips that have already been opened and I don't want spilled all over my bag. (it's also easy to reopen the sealed section later on when you want to get the food out).

[05/22/23 Update]: I purchased this product on November 26, 2022. It was working fine, sealing any food packaging or bag storage, but recently when I replaced the batteries, all of sudden it doesn't work. So, I tried another pair AA batteries, and it still doesn't work. The only other complaint I had was the TURN ON/OFF button can be a hard to switch. I was hoping this sealer would last longer and it's too late to request for a return. There is no troubleshooting solution in the instructions, so I have no choice but to trash it.

The media could not be loaded.  It is really small and light. Haven't had a chance to use it as yet but am glad it came with batteries and I look forward to a life with no mess because I can just seal up open bags

This works well, takes a little practice to get it right, but they send you a few small plastic bags that you can practice on. BEWARE ! The blade on this is very sharp and awkward to use. I cut a nice slit in one of my fingers trying to use it, and the mechanism to lock it into the usable position can be hard to engage. All in all it does work, though.

I bought this after seeing a video and thought I’d try it for $10. I love it. I just opened a bag of chips we sealed weeks ago after a picnic, and they are as fresh as they were after we first opened the bag. Amazing and easy to use.
