Dealing with acute abdomen is best covered by this fabulous book. A must have for doctors
I graduated in 1987. The earlier edition of this book, which I read 2 times, has helped me make quick and accurate diagnoses in cases of the acute abdomen when surgeons were scratching their heads. These days many doctors are not taking a good history and doing sloppy physical exams and just rely on CT scans in cases of acute abdomen. CT scans are not very good in acute cases, but they have their own place for the correct case. This book teaches physicians to pay attention to the sequence of symptoms and the timing of symptoms in relation to each other. It teaches doctors to conduct a proper examination. IT will teach you not to overlook doing a rectal exam when you even think of appendicitis, something ER doctors and surgeons are not doing these days! A dumb ignorance, out of convenience! And you think you know it all?! Wait until you have carefully read this fabulous book. You will only understand what I mean, once you read a couple of chapters. It is written in a very easy and enjoyable-to-read fashion. Hope you get it.

School book
I bought this for my daughter who needed it for class. It was what was required and hard to find in a bookstore. If anyone can find a bookstore anywhere, this type of book needs to be ordered. Love Amazon you make ‘this process easy.
