Very sharp pruning snips that cuts through pretty large branches. The only issue I have is the safety latch keeps closing while you're using it so you have to stop and open it back up. I did tighten it with the screwdriver but it doesn't seem like it's going to stay so that's why it's not getting five stars. This is my third one that I've had and they've all been good. I just keep losing them in debris that I've cut down so I have to keep rebuying it
