Good product
I ordered 1 pk (4 ea/pk) of these through Amazon. They appeared to be effective, so I ordered an additional pk (4 more). The first order I received on 4 Feb 23 was fine and has continued to work. The 2nd order arrived 10 Mar 23 and 3 out of 4 were fine. One seems to have a faulty switch and won't stay on when activated. It will buzz for half a second while holding the button in, but then stops immediately when the button is released. I wanted to return the one for replacement. Three of them are fine and have been fully charged and placed in the ground, so I see no point in returning those 3. ... I contacted Amazon but I'm told they won't just accept the one stake. I would have to return the entire pack of 4. Obviously, none of them are new and unused in the box since they have to set in the sun and driven into the ground to function. While the product appears to be okay (7 out of 8 work fine), it is just poor service not being able to return and replace the one that doesn't function properly. OTHERWISE good product!

Well made product
What I am writing is very strange . I placed all 4 that I purchased as per instruction by our Cabin. After placement I came back to our Cabin. To my surprise a animal dug 3 our of the ground and took into the woods or somewhere I couldn't find. Saw claw marks where removed. I still have 1 left(Maybe).

BEWARE - Does Work, But 40 Foot Maximum Spread According to Box Instructions
I followed the instructions exactly, and I'm happy to say thy worked. This is why I gave it 4 stars- BEWARE of what it says on this description, that you can place the devices up to 70 feet apart. THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BOX CLEARLY SAY 40 FOOT MAXIMUM SPREAD! I made sure that the devices were close enough together, deep enough in the soil using the provided drill bit and made sure the devices received enough sunlight. It took about two weeks, but the mole is gone! Each day there was less and less tunnels as if it had figured out that some paths were no longer attractive due to the pulse sound. I was surprised that the intermittent sound was audible to me. I just didn't expect that. Initially, I found it annoying, but now I barely notice it. I feel I'm probably safe to turn the devices off now, but they're back on in a second if I start seeing those tunnels again! I'm really glad these devices worked for me, and the lawn area of my yard is small enough that the 40 foot spread was perfect. I would have been really annoyed if I had ordered this package thinking I could spread the devices up to 70 feet. I would have ordered the 8 pack in that case.

So far so good…theses things are working
I had been fighting moles for over two years. Have tried grub killers and several different types of granular Mole repellents. The repellents work for a little but is quickly diluted when we have several days of rain and mole activity came right back. Decided to give Yardec Solar Powered Ultrasonic Repellent a try. Charged the units for 24 hours as instructed. Took the time to walk down all the tunnels and noted where the tunnels seem to originate from. The next day I used the included auger to put the units in the ground. I spaced them about 20 feet apart, in an arch pattern, around the area the original tunnels originated from. The next day I did notice several tunnels going away from where they originally started. Over the next week the tunnels continued to go away from the units. The instructions states to move once a month but I figured since they are moving lets keep them going. I relocated the units, in the same arch pattern, to move the moles further away. The arch pattern kind of horseshoes the area forcing the moles to go away from my yard. I’m going to leave them where they are for the next month and then move them to my property line to keep them from re-entering. I did have a bag of granular repellent left so I put it down in the area they used to inhabit as a secondary deterrent . So far so good. No new tunnels in my yard and it appears the mole tunnels are about 20 feet out in the field. Note…I have several large oak trees in my back yard and have noticed a reduction in the amount of squirrels in my yard also.
