As mentioned in other reviews they don't fit unless they are sanded. I used a sanding drum in the drill and files on all "rail" mating services. (A disc would have worked better.) Removing the sharp edges help. I did this gradually and test fitted often as I wanted a snug fit instead of the wobbly, loose fit of the original battery. I found that the problem is that the rails are to thick requiring the most material removal. I also test fitted the battery with the less used sawzall and a V18 series drill which required more material. They now work in my PowerPlus tools and my dad's V18 tools.

I needed to sand about 30 thousands off the top surface to make it fit into the tool.

Batteries do not fit the Milwaukee tools properly. If you don't mind grinding the plastic housing, they work OK. 2000mAh is not nearly as powerful as 2200mAh as I can stop my drill with my bare hands.

This was supposed to be a replacement for a Milwaukee 48-11-2230 battery. It looks identical but due to the poor casting of the plastic body it slid onto the drill very hard then I had to pry and pound on the battery to release it from the drill while holding the two release buttons on the battery. I checked to make sure the mating surfaces of the drill were clean and that other batteries slid on and off alright and found all was normal. After looking more closely at the battery I could see that the receiving parts were ever so slightly larger and more squared off that the original Milwaukee batteries. Since I already damaged the battery getting it off I spent about 20 minutes filing and shaving the battery until it fit. It is still hard to get off but it is at least usable. Not worth returning as long as the battery functions! NEVER AGAIN! Stick with original Milwaukee parts!!!
