HAYEAR CCD Adapter C Mount to 23.2mm Microscope Adapter for Biomicroscope

I used this to attach a camera to an eyepiece or to the photo tube on an Olympus SZ61 microscope. Actually, I don't have a C-mount camera, but this seems to be a common size for adapters that then attach to other formats. Because of that, I had already purchased an inexpensive adapter to allow me to attach a 4/3 mirrorless camera (Olympus E-M1) to a C-mount, which then attached directly to a different microscope.I had been concerned about purchasing this because I thought, "How good could the optics be for this price?" I needn't have worried--there are no optics. It's just a piece of metal that attaches to a C-mount, which will hold a camera in place and relatively still while attached to a microscope. For my use, it's not spectacular in that the field of view is a little smaller than the field of view available through the eyepieces. However, it's not bad. Also, they show this as being composed of two pieces. Maybe that's true, but mine came with the restrictor already inserted, and if it really unscrews, I'm not sure how I would do that. I'm also not sure that would be a good idea, so I'm reluctant to do something that might damage it.In conclusion, it's possible that an adapter with a particular lens might be better, but anything of that kind that I could find would have set me back at least $100 and probably much more than that. Considering the price and that it lets me take pretty good pictures when before I couldn't take any, I am very happy with my purchase. Hopefully they'll resume selling these.

Works great for what it does. That said, this probably isn't what you're looking for - you probably want an adapter with at least .5x reduction.
