What can I say? This is a combo lock that's resettable (not that I really change combos once I set them), and I needed a long lock for my outdoor backyard gate. I received this, set the lock and stuck it on my backyard gate... I waited 6-months to write a review on this, because what good is an outdoor lock if it breaks or becomes unusable a few months after use, so I wanted to give it at least a good trial run. Well, 6-months later, its still on my backyard gate, still works just fine, and isn't in bad shape at all. For the price I paid, it's definitely a bargain, and its definitely a deterrent to casual malcontents... Overall, a good value buy and works long-term outdoors with no problems.2020 Update: Three years after purchase, with lock still functioning just fine in the Florida sun/heat/humidity/rain 24/7, I have had no problems with the lock... the combo wheels still turn easily and the lock works great... i'm buying a 2nd one for outdoor use.

It isn't complete junk, but it definitely is not durable. I was able to break it with my hands (while unlocked) and some pins fell out of the opening. I'm positive I could completely break it with a tool while it is locked. That being said, will it keep people out of your shed in your back yard? Will it keep kids out of your liquor cabinet? Yes to both. But if you are going to use this to lock something that is seldom checked and unsupervised or if you are going to use this to lock up something really valuable (worth more than a couple hundred bucks) then you are being very foolish. Remember, you get what you pay for and considering that really good locks are about 4 times as expensive, this lock functions as expected.

I'm giving this a five star review though I don't really "love it" as it's just a lock. I received it today and set the combo and everything seems to be in good working order and very sturdy. There's been a few reviews and it's been mentioned in the questions that this does not include any instructions... the order I received came with a set of very easy to understand instructions and I had the new combo set up within about ten seconds of taking it out of the package. See the included picture for proof/details if you're needing the directions.Overall, it appears to be a good lock for the price so far.

Works just fine. I thought i would have to send back since the bar did not fit trough the cabinet pulls, but I decided it only need a slight ream out of pulls to accommodate. It works just fine. Took me five minutes. So double check your dimension before you order. Ten dollars is a very good price. If it was in an antique brass finish I would have gave it a Six.

This faulty lock is not the sellers fault. Purchased this lock to protect items where I board my horse. Instructions for me were unclear. I had a friend look and see what I didn't understand. The end of number cylinder on the right end moves clockwise to allow you to set your personal combination. After you open the lock initially, move the top of lock 90 degrees behind number cylinder, turn the end of the cylinder clockwise until it stops. Set your combination and put top of lock back to original position. Now, your combination is set. I don't like the zero sticking out because it's a pain if you use a zero in your combination. Poor instructions for me and don't like zero sticking out. Believe this will do the job for my tack.

Perfect for me to lock a kitchen cabinet. Very easy to use once the combination is set. Instructions not very clear on how to set combination, but once I figured it out, it's fairly easy.
