Catch Me If You Can
A friend told me to check this movie out and was I wowed. I love non fiction and the movie just flows as the main character goes from job yo job faking his way through. Leo and Tom Hanks are wonderful and I just had to buy it. I definitely recommend this movie

Engaging and Fun
This movie is a great watch, I really enjoyed this 2 hour film. 🎥 This movie is not long but it is longer than the standard 1 hour and 30 minute movie, it doesn't matter though as long as it's enjoyable to watch. Catch this. 4.5/5.

Hard for me to stay focused on a movie, but this one had me glued in!
Leonardo plays an excellent role in this movie. His uncanny personality shows through! This movie was filmed well and has a smooth plot. Through and through, it made it even more interesting that it was based on a true story!

5 so I'll err upwards because this movie is great - and well worth watching and rewatching
I gave this movie a 9 on IMDB but there's no way to post 4.5 so I'll err upwards because this movie is great - and well worth watching and rewatching.I'm not going to rehash the awesome plot (truth!), great screenplay, and incredible acting, because that's all over this page. But my opinion:***SPOILER AHEAD***There's more substance they could have added. That's why I rated 9 and not 10. But standing on its own, this movie is so well-done.It doesn't stick to the true story 100%. The one point I don't like is that he gets engaged to a girl, when in reality it was a simpler relationship. It could have been done equally well as a darker drama, or a longer adventure. Spielberg chose to focus on these few years of Abagnall's life so there automatically is a certain lightness that comes from lacking the bigger picture. But in its own merit, this movie is almost fun to watch. Despite the constant danger of discovery and deception, Frank lives optimistically and hopefully. That makes this movie easy to want to return to.Altogether, I loved this film.

i saw this movie a couple of years ago, and decided i needed to see it again. the store i bought it from sent it out right away and it was packaged well. i prepared to watch the movie when i got it by preparing and eating dinner first. i ate a nice soup with some bread and butter. to drink i had either a diet pepsi or some water. after dinner i watched the movie. it was just as good as it was the first time i saw it, years ago. tom hanks is good. and leo was good also. i recommend this movie. i read the book after i watched this and the book was good too.

A great movie version of incredible story.
Much of this movie is factual, and those parts that are more Hollywood are done tastefully in order to fill in missing detail. For instance, Frank never saw his father again after he left home, but he did in the movie. The fact is, Frank was always trying to please his father and if you can put up with some of this divergence from absolute fact, the movie tells the story with deep feeling. Same for detective Hanratty. He's more of a composite of multiple detectives, and perhaps this is more egregious. But overall, this movie is engaging, and you come away with a concept of his amazing talent. Wonderfully played by Leonardo DeCaprio and Christopher Walken, I bought this movie because it was one of those movies I can watch over again.

Great movie to watch with the family
It's been a while since I watched a good movie. I really enjoyed myself watching "Catch me If you can". Overall a good experience. I strongly advised to bring snacks and drinks while watching the movie because it's two hours long. Also, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks did a great job acting. Kudos to the productions team!

COMPULSIVE VIEWING WATCHING A TEEN OUTWIT THE F.B.I FOR SOME YEARS.
The film directed by Steven Spielberg is, if but loosely based on a true story telling of how a teenager Frank Abagnale (played in the film by Leonardo DiCaprio) after the breakup of his parents marriage, runs away and over a period of 3/4 years not only evades capture by the F.B.I, he manages to accumulate around $4 million by cashing cheques he has learned to forge.Initially Frank jnr. manages to con his way into becoming an airline-pilot cashing forged pay-cheques, the deception takes several weeks to surface bringing F.B.I agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) on the case of finding young Frank. However, changing his name frequently helps him stay one step ahead of his pursuers, even changing his profession along the way to that of a Doctor.Carl Hanratty will get close of several occasions to catching the young con-man, however, the teen remains alert to the threat.Young Frank will even try his hand at being a Lawyer and almost marry the boss's daughter.Frank's luck will eventually run out, but, he'll Kinda still have the last laugh. The film also stars Christopher Walken as Frank's father and Martin Sheen as his boss in the Law-Firm.A film I myself haven't watched for many years, had forgotten just how good and often amusing the film really if.....Until now. With a great cast line-up the film is certainly worthy of a revisit or indeed first viewing

Ver clever film....immersive!
What a clever film! Fantastic plot twist. Based on a true story (as are some of the best films of all time). Leonardo put so much effort into researching the real life Mr Abignail and it really pays off. Fantastic acting by both DiCaprio and Hanks. It reawakens a childish imagination of what it could be like to live in someonelse's shoes and explores some interesting and still massively relevant issues of how society responds to people differently just by the clothes they wear or the documents they carry. You get totally absorbed into the story and whilst you realise that Mr Abignail is clearly a criminal, you know the reason why he is behaving that way and you sympathise with him. Who's side will you take? Who do you root for? When I first watched it I changed my mind on this multiple times, and still do every time I watch it. How refreshing! So many films are so black and white good vs evil, but this one is far more entertaining because it forces you to really think hard about who is in the right. The attention to detail in the film is incredible. On a par with 'The Terminal' for the immersive story, the societal issue sit addresses, the characters and the general atmosphere of the film.

FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) is forever hot on Abagnale's trail and the subsequent cat-and-mouse chase never gets boring.
Catch Me If You Can is a highly satisfying 141 minutes of film drama. The film follows the true, captivating story of Frank Abagnale Jr. - depicted flawlessly (and I mean flawlessly) by the ever-impressive Leonardo DiCaprio. Abagnale was 'the most successful bank robber in history' whose initiative, cunning and determination saw him con doctors, lawyers, policemen and airline pilots. However, FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) is forever hot on Abagnale's trail and the subsequent cat-and-mouse chase never gets boring. The acting? Superb. The plot? Original. The dialogue? Realistic. The message? Lasting. 'Catch Me If You Can' is satirical and funny but ever poignant and mesmerizing - it raises important questions in the minds of the viewers; questions of morality, of meaning and of the power of the individual to overcome so many obstacles. If you haven't seen Spielberg's 'Catch Me If You Can', with its brilliant acting and stellar cast, you simply are missing out big time.

Love of parents
Frank loves his parents. He loves the way they love each other. His heart breaks when he realizes that one of them is `cheating' on the other. He starts masquerading. They are now divorcing. He has to choose to live with one or other parent. He is 16. He chooses but is traumatized. (I was not traumatized not knowingly anyway; I was five). His deceptions increase. He continues to love his chosen parent. His grip on reality lessens as his masquerades become more outlandish. He is now travelling extensively but still writes `home'. He keeps wanting his parents to be together again but by now, his other parent has remarried. He finds out. He is in disbelief; simply not acceding to the possibility. More deceptions lead eventually to capture. He even escapes that process briefly to see his other parent. His looking through the window... is so poignant. It ends with his new parent figure. For me, this is a very moving story (with some personal resonance). The film is beautifully acted and paced. John Williams' music is perfect. Love of parents and one in particular, permeates this entire film.

Catch me if you can blu ray
Steven Spielberg's sixties adventure has a terrific premise, of being true, De caprio playing a fraudster, whom is both played with sympathy by De caprio, he is hotly pursued by Tom hanks, whom is warm and funny, and only knows one joke.Supported by Chris Walken (playing De caprio's father), Amy Adams, jennifer Garner, Martin Sheen, it is both very funny and serious. Spielberg directs adroitly & even throws in a reference to "Goldfinger", which is pulled off brilliantly. If you are a Spielberg or De Caprio fan (or both) , invest in this. Excellent
