Made out of plastic so be careful when drying your vehicle with a rag as it can snag on the sharp point and break. I did this and ordered a new one to replace the one I broke the tip off of. Looks good on my 88 YJ with 355 crate motor

If this is 8 inches your wife is not happy
Discrimination says 8 inches and much like every teenage boy with a cell phone, they try to sell 4 inches as 8 inches. Don’t waste you tour money unless you want a 4 inch emblem. It’s also quite cheep plastic and the sucky backing is not great either.
