Fantastic Book
This might be one of the best books I've read. Very easy to follow along. My only real complaint is that the author does seem a bit repetitious but I'd rather have that than omitting stuff.

Very good book for beginners
First of all, all the code works in this book.I work with Kivy 2.2.1It is a lot of information to grab it at first. If things don't make sence and you don't understand, just curry on.I am going to work through this book the second time, I believe things will be much more understandable. If you want to learn KivyMD, I will recommend to work through this book before learning KivyMD because KivyMD is based in Kivy.

A "must buy" Kivy book
A couple of months ago, I learned about the Kivy framework as a means of creating GUIs for the Python programming language. I did a short online tutorial that was put up on YouTube over 8 years ago but still felt uncomfortable with Kivy. I purchased this book within a couple of weeks of its availability and started in on it from page 1. It's a formidable looking book since it is over 800 pages long, but it is perfect for me since it starts at ground zero in showing how Kivy works. The first 100 pages or so introduces you to the Kivy basics with very specific working examples along with exercises and their solutions. The rest of the book shows you how to put together a simple game in a step-by-step manner, using what you have learned from the beginning of the book. I still have a long ways to go to finish the book (and the game), but, so far, this has been a great learning experience for me. FYI, I had tried learning to use Tkinter with Python but ran into unsolvable troubles since I use a Mac. Kivy has worked smoothly on my Mac ever since I installed it.

Excellent step-by-step guide!
Excellent book for learning to create graphics in Kivy. I initially tried to use online documentation. While this approach worked to some degree, there were many fundamentals about Kivy that I did not understand. This book introduces the different components of Kivy and how they work. Step-by-step examples are given that detail how each feature works. This is probably the best aspect of the book in that you can see side-by-side snippets of code along with the end graphic. The book includes a project that you can create as part of learning.

So easy to follow and so intuitive
This book gives you intuition about the kivy framework which the documentation does not do nearly as well. This book is also full of exercises to help remember kivy functionality. I can't recommend this book enough I think its so underpriced.

One of the best, most easy to follow, and comprehensive programming books I have ever seen.
The explanations are demonstrated in a constructivist manner and many paths to the desired outcome are provided for comprehensive learning, with the benefit of recommendations of best practice. I have been programming computers since 1984 in many languages and I am literally giddy over how simple and effective kivy and python are together as a cross-platform development environment. Great job to the Author!!

Very well written!
I love how the book is written. This is my 4th book in Kivy and finally I find a didactical book that explain in detail how things work and what are the alternatives that you can use to do the same things!I recommend this for beginner as well as people that already know something about Kivy but they still have doubts on how to master this GUI framework.Max.

scritto e sviluppato bene.

Worth every penny!
I have programmed for the web in PHP previously (though not for some time) and have dabbled a little with Python so quite rusty but do have that prior knowledge.I have a project in mind and wanted to use Python and Kivy, I am about a 10th of the way through the book and it is excellent, worth every penny. It is a step by step introduction to the elements needed to run a functioning app (slug trail game) and it also shows different methods of achieving what you need in different ways. The book scaffolds really well, repeating and building upon code with one or two tasks at the end of each chapter to help you put into practice what you have learned (solutions are also provided). The scaffolding is so good that I found myself at one point instinctively writing code in a way for the first task that was (unknown to me) the goal of the second task.Highly recommended!

Too much talk about slug racing!
This book might be good if you have the patience to build the authors slug racing game step by step but I never replicate sample projects in books. The book is 800 pages but it seems like at least 500 of them are talking about the slug racing game and not Kivy! And don't expect to look up stuff in the index because its about 2 pages long. Even the cover is showing you the slugs! I returned the book and will look for one that is a little more reference/cookbook style.
