I have a brand new baby so I’ve been trying out all the different brands of all the different products. First time mom, what can I say? I like this thermometer because it came sealed (always a plus, but doesn’t necessarily always happen from amazon), and because they actually included the batteries.After testing it with another forehead thermometer, I found the reading was consistently off about half a degree from the other product. However, both thermometers gave a slightly different reading each time I took his temp, so who knows which one is actually the accurate reading.The reason I took away a star is because it is simply not as easy to hold to the forehead as other brands. For some reason it just doesn’t fit the hand just right. Still a great product though, and does what it’s supposed to!It did come with a little carry pouch, so I will be using this one in the diaper bag

I love this digital thermometer, it's not like the traditional one and you just have to scanner on your forehead or ear and that's it! It will give you your actual temperature. It's so easy to use and the instructions are clear to read plus I love the portable bag that came with it because I can be carrying everywhere. It comes with batteries, yes! For now, it works great and I'm glad I chose this brand! I highly recommend it!

Bought this to use for my newborn baby girl. Easy to use and install, runs on two triple A batteries that comes with it. Thermometer came with a protective carrying bag as well. Appears to be accurate upon usage with the frontal probe. Haven't tried the ear mode yet but I bought the thermometer to use on the forehead anyway. Quick and easy readings - comes with an instructions manual.

Get a standard oral thermometer if accuracy counts. This one, like others of its type, was off so much that I needlessly rushed a loved one to ER. It's not only inaccurate, but the display flashes off so fast that reading it is a chore. The display wears out quickly as you see in the pictures.

I had assumed it was accurate, but then again I’d only tried it out when I was healthy. I woke up one day feeling very hot and suspected I had a fever. This thermometer gave me normal readings of 98.5 both on the forehead and in the ear. Then I decided to also try an oral thermometer, and my temperature was 101.2. So this thermometer was actually several degrees off.

I recently used this on my baby girl when she was suffering from mild fever. The Metene thermometer showed a reading of 103-105 F using the Forehead mode. This was clearly incorrect and I checked with another electronic thermometer which has a sensor tip using the underarm method and got the temperature as 101 F which seemed closer to what it should have been.The thermometer was fien for about 6 months but is inaccurate now.Original product page has been discontinued and is now being sold on this new product page.
