Saw a dramatic difference in 2 weeks!
My husband and I rescued a stray dog that had very bad skin issues - she had mange, hot spots, a horrible flea infestation and a lot of ticks! She also had malnutrition. We tackled the mange, fleas and ticks first with our vet. She also had heartworms, so we made sure to get her treated for that as it was priority. Anyway, after these problems were addressed, she still had a palm-sized area on her chest and one of her legs - the skin looks like she has very bad acne and she was constantly scratching. Our vet rechecked to make sure it is not mange, but thinks that it might be bacterial and put her on a course of Cephalexin for 21 days, but that didn't help at all. When the antibiotics didn't help, I read online that bathing a dog with bad skin once or twice a week can help (prior to this we were only bathing her at most once a month). I bought the Earth Bath Tea Tree Oil & Aloe shampoo - my husband and I thought it was made for her as it says it helps with hot spots, flea bites, etc. I thought it can't hurt to give it a try and it sounds easy enough.I started bathing her twice a week and it has only been 2 weeks and I see a dramatic difference! The pimply-looking patches are clearing up and she is even growing some baby hair in previously bald areas. When I bath her, I only use the palm of my hands (never any nails or scratching so I don't accidentally irritate her skin more). And I started to make her wear a shirt 24/7, so she can't scratch those areas.I did do some research on the toxicity of tea tree oil and saw that it can be pretty dangerous if undiluted. I debated whether to wash her with the shampoo or not, but I checked the reviews here on Amazon and only one person really had an issue and the other reviews were mostly positive. I concluded that it should be safe as the shampoo is diluted and my lady was so miserable that I just wanted to give it a try in case it does give her some relief. I kept a close eye on her, though, to see if she has any bad reactions and I made sure she is rinsed thoroughly and doesn't lick the shampoo during baths. I also condition her afterwards with the Earth Bath Creme Rinse and Conditioner, so her skin doesn't get dried out from all the baths.I am very pleased so far with this shampoo. I will do an update again if anything comes up, but if you don't see an update, it means things are still going well and she is healing fast. I honestly cannot be happier with how quickly I am seeing results.UPDATE 4 months later:It is now 4 months later and the bad skin is a thing of the past. In fact, I have been lazy with my reviews and her skin issue actually cleared up completely after bathing with Earthbath Tea Tree Oil and Aloe formula after only 1.5 month. I kept at bathing her twice a week until it completely cleared up. Her pimply, itchy skin is now healed and have hair on it - in fact, her belly used to be bald and now she has a thin patch of hair. She looks gorgeous and everyone compliments her. Couldn't be happier with this shampoo and I have been telling everyone about it. Now, I'm back to bathing her only when she is stinky or dirty, maybe once a month. I am going to finish up using the Tea Tree Oil formula, but I will switch out to another milder formula once this bottle is done since she doesn't have skin issues anymore.

Very Pleased!
I was a bit skeptical to try this on my Australian cattle dog after countless attempts with different shampoos and very little success. I was stuck debating between the Oatmeal & Aloe vs. Tea Tree and Aloe. I decided to go for tea tree, based on her ongoing skin issues. After the first few washings, I started to notice dramatic results with her obsessive scratching, which I feel was either fungal or allergy related, if not a mix of the two. I also looked into her food, trying to get types that had less wheat in the ingredients, since I know a lot of dogs are allergic to it, and that also seemed to help quite a bit as well (also noticed her seizures have lessened, though not sure if that's related). Even though her scratching lessened significantly, I've also been giving her a little organic coconut oil in her food off and on for about two to three times a week (about a tablespoon), just to help with her coat and to fight against worms. What I really love about this product, aside from it helping with her scratching, is that there's no strong perfume smell and the ingredients are great, too. I avoid chemicals in a lot of my skincare, so I feel good about putting an all-natural product on her. I don't ever notice any residue on her coat, but it still manages to leave it clean and shiny. You don't need a lot and it rinses easily, which is also great. She's always extremely perky after I'm done bathing her now, like tonight. Kind of funny actually. I also like to use the Conair shampoo dog brush to help loosen any dirt and shedding fur (she sheds/blows her coat twice a year in clumps, rather than consistently), as well as for a little massage, and she loves it. Highly recommend.**Update**Still loving this brand, although I decided to give the oatmeal version a try, even though I really wanted to try the mango scent (for my sake!). Our weather has been pretty dry, with hardly any humidity in the air, and my dog's skin was getting flaky and itchy (as was mine). The tea tree didn't work as well for this a few weeks ago, and my guess is that it's better for more fungal-type issues or dermatitis, etc. Before, the weather wasn't dry, she had some other issue going on, which tea tree helped with.I decided to give the oatmeal type a shot and loved the smell. It definitely conditioned her coat more - though the tea tree made it just as clean and shiny, if not a little more clean/clarified. Since I shampoo twice in a row, for good measure, I'll probably use both for now; otherwise, I think I prefer the oatmeal. The tea tree didn't smell bad, IMO, but smelled more herbal (very mild). My "partner" didn't care too much for it, but he said she smelled good when I used the oatmeal, even while she was still wet. Again, very mild smell that fades by the next day.Would say to get the oatmeal if you see flakes/dandruff/dryness, or the tea tree if there's scratching but no apparent dry skin involved. I'm sure either type will work great, though.

Gentle shampoo
The biggest reason I have exclusively used this shampoo since my now 6 year old Maltese was a puppy?? It’s ingredients and tearless formula. It’s gentle on his skin, smells great. Being all white and a dog who rolls in everything (including possum poop) it’s a god send to bring him back to white and shiny
