These are quality receptacles which ARE UL approved!
These are quality receptacles which ARE UL approved. Due to the misleading pictures and the seller posting an incorrect UL certificate number I was VERY SUSPICIOUS, especially with the high number of counterfeit electrical goods coming from China. After reviewing these I contacted UL since I could not find a valid certificate on UL's database. I spent the next three hours speaking to one of UL's inspectors. We went from the smudged UL certificate sticker to physical measurements. These matched, but we went further. I was instructed where and how to find hidden identifiers and measured the electrical specifications for the receptacles. The electrical characteristics were within 5%, most likely my meter which needs to be calibrated. The good news for you regarding my afternoon is you can rest assured these outlet and USB Charging ports meet codes for electrical systems in the USA. UL will mention the smudged certificate sticker to the manufacturer, and emphasize the importance of these certificates being perfect. Hopefully, you'll no longer encounter this issue. My only concern with this outlet is that when wiring receptacles you should use a "pig-tail" method, NOT inserting the conductors into the back connection holes. The pig-tail is hardwired from panel box to outlet and more durable, I less likely to cause a fire, etc. Good electricians after securing the wires to the side screws wrap the outlet in electrical tape as an added safety measure. You can not do so on these outlets since they have ventilation slots on the sides of the outlet. This is inconvenient in the least.I used electrical liquid tape to cover the contact screws and spacing jumpers to hold the tape from the ventilation slots. I'm not current on my national electric codes, but in New York City this extra step is required. It'd be great to design a method to allow ease of covering screw contacts.

Good Product, Good Seller
With the price of this unit, I was a little skeptical at first as I have previously used the Leviton equivalent and, even with those, have experienced a few issues on projects. The specific issue I had been experiencing was that the right USB connection on the receptacle would stop functioning after between 50 and 100 uses. So I gave this product a try, below is a list of Pros and Cons:Pros:-You get two wall plates with the units, one of which is a snap on cover with a bracket to secure to the receptacle which is especially nice if you have a customer that wants to avoid seeing the screws (even if they are painted white).- I have installed 9 of these at a customer site thus far and they are getting high use and I have not had any issues yet.- The actual amperage that this unit puts out is 2.1 on each USB port (some of the other ones I have tried varied between 1.8 and 2.1 amps, which does make a difference in charging time even though it seems minimal).- This unit is tamper resistant and has the safety feature on both the hot and neutral as opposed to some of the other products out there that just have it on the hot, the reason this matters is that when just the hot has the feature, it tends to be awkward for your average user to plug something in and they either, A. assume the receptacle is broken, or B. end up flexing the prongs of whatever they are connecting.Cons- This is with pretty much all of the dual AC / USB receptacles, but it is worth mentioning, these units are deep, if you have any more than two 12/2 romex lines in a single gang J-Box it will be difficult to get this to fit without forcing it in and even with two romex lines, you need to place the lines in the box accordingly so as not to angle the decora to make a visibly awkward angle when you attach the plate.General- The seller is extremely response, response time thus far has been less than 8 hours.Overall, a very good product that I would recommend.

Very usefull, all outlets should come like this these days!
I bought 2 as gifts for Christmas. Then I decided I wanted a couple. I now have one by my nightstand and can charge my phone and tablet at the same time. I also have one in the kitchen. These work very well and extremely easy to install. Takes 2 minutes! I will be buying more.

Easy to install.
Installed them, they work great, i bought a 5 pack. Works great on ASUS/IPAD/Samsung/Pebble/Fossil. Very easy to replace,1. Turn power off at the fuse box.2. Un-screw the old socket.3. Use a pin to remove the wires from the old socket.4. Put wires into the new sockets.5. Tighten the screws on the side and the ground.6 Screw the new socket into the wall.7. Pick your cover8. Turn the power back on at the breaker box.9. See the green LED turn on and test. I used an old Iphone for testing.

Easy Install
Loved how quick and easy it was to install this outlet. Everything worked well and appreciated that it came with a wall plate.

2nd time a charm. Easily accepts 2 wires
First one came defective (one screw unable to attach). I've seen other reviews and a photo of this - c'mon guys, nice product but step up the QC a little! Quick exchange - thanks Amazon. Second unit worked perfect. Not a big fan of the safety plug - but I knew that going in. Makes it difficult to plug in devices but seems like all of these units have them. One thing to clear up, it only has one terminal screw per side so you might think you need a pigtail if your box has 2 black and 2 white wires and uses the switch as the connection point. Wrong - there are 2 holes on each side. Just insert the stripped wires and tighten. See pic. The green light is always on - not just when the USB is charging. Not a big deal. Price is less than box stores and probably come out of the same factory.
