Great album. I saw them live last night opening ...
Great album. I saw them live last night opening for Echosmith and they were fantastic. Very good musicians/song writers. Their lead singer has a great voice. And their singer/drummer, Maya, is a star. The crowd response to her was amazing. Super stage personality and very sweet taking pictures with fans after the show. Really impressed. I think half of the songs on this album could be (and should be!) huge radio hits. I am a fan and everyone that I went with came away a fan as well. Buy the album! See them live!

Went from never heard of them to my favorite band in less than a week
Can't say enough good things about this album. Saw them in concert and was instantly hooked, bought the CD the next day and still play it all the time. I love the fast tempo, the thoughtful lyrics, and the beautiful mix of guitars and of course Adam and Maya harmony in the vocals. Went from never heard of them to my favorite band in less than a week.

Best Album of 2014 (So Far), But Don't Bother With the Vinyl.
I love this band and this album. I'm not a music critic, so I won't try to analyze it, but I'll just say I find it great from the first cut to the last. That said, I bought the vinyl version and I shouldn't have. This is poor quality vinyl. My copy is very noisy and rather warped. Luckily, Amazon gives you a digital download as soon as you pay for your order (and there is a card for a digital download in with the record). Bottom line: get the CD or MP3 of "The Colourist".

fun music that makes you happy
The Colourist, other than being bomb live, is a really fun band that makes music you want to dance to. It's instantly catchy but not the type of pop-rock that fades out after a few plays. Definitely get this album!

Beautiful sound and great rhythms
Great first album from a real up-and-coming group. Album quality is top notch and sounds beautiful! Definitely worth the purchase if you like the group, or if you like indie-electro-rock.
