Q: Would this work well as a garden sled, for hauling plants, rocks, compost, soil amendments, sod, etc.?

I have one a and yes! Itd work for what your needing. I use it for hauling firewood from the shed to the porch..pulls very easily up 3 steps. (Im a 68 yr. Old woman). I also use it in the summer for dragging garden trimmings, branches. Grass clippings... Not so good for hauling heavy loads over grass. But over snow slides like a dream!

Q: Could this be used in grass for exercise? ( looking for something to drag my kid with ad an alternative to my drag weights)

Yes, it is very sturdy. We drag the kids through the woods with it- over creek beds etc.

Q: what are the dimensions?

The overall dimensions are: width 20 1/2 inches, length 42 1/2 inches. The lip-edge is 1 1/4 inches on three sides and 1 1/2 inches on the front where the rope is placed.

Q: Can I Pull over sand?

Yes. We use it on all terrain and it's great for hauling firewood in the winter and spreading wood chips & weeding the garden in the summer.
