but that was super easy to do
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter for her birthday. She absolutely loves it. Only complaint is that if the person taking pictures isn't holding still enough, the pictures aren't very clear. You do have to go into settings to up the Mega Pixel quality, but that was super easy to do, and it stays on the higher quality unless you manually turn it down. With some practice, she'll be taking awesome photos in no time. Definitely worth the low cost for a camera for a kid.

Cheap
Get wht you pay for. I wanted a cheap camera that I wasn't afraid to drop by mistake on our trip. Pic quality was sub-par. It's cheaply made like I thought but I wouldn't buy it again

GREAT CAMERA FOR THE PRICE - FOR CASUAL USE - IT WILL TAKE A DECENT PHOTO
I purchased this on a Lightning Deal for $32. Based on that, I took this to a wedding along with my regular older digital camera. The photos with this camera were pretty good for the price of the camera. This would be great for kids or as a backup for casual events. I took mostly outdoor daylight photos and they came out well. The indoor flash ones were OK, but NOT great. The only real negative was the length of the battery life. I wish it could have been longer. The setup was pretty intuitive and the controls and functions were also. I was able to access the setup menu easily and scroll through the functions with minimal use of the manual. I did NOT use the camera for videos, as I do NOT plan on using it for that. The battery comes out easily, and it would be great if extra batteries could be purchased. I plan on taking this as a backup camera when we travel to Australia later this year. This camera was described as for kids, seniors, etc. IT IS A VERY DECENT CAMERA FOR THE PRICE. It never claimed to be anything but. My review is based on that use.

Don't buy this!
I bought this camera but did not read reviews, I read them and was nervous. When it arrived I plugged it I to charge. Over 24 hours and it's still reading "low battery". I took it outside to test it on the little bit of battery life. I was not impressed. While I can say it is nice looking and as stated is light and small, but it just feels cheap.I have a camera that is less mega pixels but takes better photos, has 10x zoom instead of 8x and takes clear photos while zoomed in, this one did not. I am returning this and sticking with my old camera. The main reason I got this is because the battery was rechargable, but if it never fully charges and drains in less than an hour it wouldn't be good for a hike or an event. I'll buy some rechargable AA's for the camera I have.Save your money or buy something else this is barely decent and not as easy to use as some others I've tried.

Cheap but not toooooo cheap.
It's a little quirky but my 10 yr old mastered the basic controls in one day (even though all of the buttons are not marked). Does not equal the quality of a $4000 setup. But it's fine the the average joe that wants to record a memory and it wont break your heart if you drop it in the pool. I you're going on vacation buy two just in case. It's probably the best forty dollar camera I've owned and the kids can use it to take pictures instead of asking to use my phone.

Would not buy again!
Let's be clear this is not a DSLR camera, but for so little money it's just about acceptable. My main problem is that the quality of the photographs taken is not consistent and about one in eight of the photographs taken are distorted. If I were buying a similar camera again, I think I would pay a little more money to get a device that is more consistent in the grade of pictures taken. I find it difficult to accept the claim that this is a 21 mega pixel camera, as I have cameras with substantially fewer pixels that produce photographs of greater clarity. The best feature of this camera is that it can be carried in a pocket.

Small, lightweight and okay!
This camera is okay if you aren't particular about the pics. However, I get a bit confused on how to use it, although I will get used to it. It is very handy and lightweight to take with you places. Fits in a small purse even. I'll have to see if it really works for good pics as I learn to use it more.
