The Fighting Ground

This is an excellent book for middle school and high school students on the Revolutionary War. This book does a great job showing how the main character johnny grows up threw the revolutionary war. The book also does a great job showing the cost of war.

My 4th grader enjoyed this book more than some others in this time period. Great choice!

She injoyed it as much as a 12 year old enjoys history, but it was a good book.

Very Good Book and Good Quality

This is the first book my boy read that has a "sad" ending. That is reality for you! But he really really enjoyed it, and even though it was assigned school work, he read it for fun and was done a week before it was due!

"The Fighting Ground" is a very good book for Social Studies.

However, the translation in the back was helpful. I teach 6th grade, and the kids enjoy it for the most part.
