Good, Long Lasting, Carbon Filter
I'm on my third filter in 5 years. It's easy to install, adequate capacity for over a year's use by a household of two for drinking, coffee, and cooking water. Does a good job of keeping the ice clean and takes all the chemical taste from our city water. Well worth the price, I think.

Very Easy to Install!
We live in an area where the water is pretty yucky. The new Samsung fridge came with a filter for the water but a neighbor recommended that we install an in line filter as well. What was coming out of the fridge was decent but we decided to take the neigbor's advice and go for double filtered water. Looked into several different filters and ultimately chose this one because it is good for three years and the majority of the reviews mentioned how easy it was to install. Folks, it was absurdly easy to install. We had more trouble turning off the water to the house (which is very old). We simply cut the plastic tubing - shoved it in the end of the filter pulled back a bit as the instructions tell you to and turned the water on to flush the filter. Three minutes later we had lovely fresh water flowing thru the filter. We then shoved the other half of the tube in the out flow end of the filter and we were done. It really was that easy.

Replaced 3 stage filter, R/0 system, for better flow rates, no stripping of minerals.
This think lasts and lasts, eliminating all chlorine and fluoride and funky tastes, leaving most of the cal mag zinc iron. Super easy too connect, incredible life span, puts my wastefull R/O TOO SHAME. Can fill more than my 14gallon R/O resevoir, fills a 6 gallon jug in 1/4 the time, and I do not need too re introduce Cal-Mag-Zinc-Fe, ph is verry stable, drifted from flat 7 too 7.3 with 6 months of use 100 gallons a week.

I like it. Used as a Pre-filter outside of refridgerator.
I like it. I installed it as a pre-filter to the ice maker and water dispenser already in my refrigerator. Since I had two filters now I was hoping that it would make my ice crystal clear, but that is not the case, but it did get rid of the hard water taste that the original filter in my refrigerator was unable to do alone. It makes both the water and ice drinkable, although my ice is not as crystal clear as I'd like. The plastic mounting bracket that comes with the filter does not have a screw long enough if you are attaching through drywall. The weight of the filter will pull it right out. I had to use a slightly longer screw and screwed into a stud. Also, not part of my review, I did buy this quick connect and found out it was the wrong filter for my refrigerator did not have the 1/4 poly compression line for the quick connect coupling. My refrigerator had a 1/4 Stainless Steel Ice Maker Supply Line connected to the wall outlet, but the quick connects on this filter are easy to screw out and replace with brass adapters (and plumbing tape). Two new brass adapters and a small stainless steel supply line cost me about $8 at a local hardware store. Makes me think I could have bought the Woder Replace 10k (without the quick connects) and bought the brass adapters locally and saved a little more money over buying the inline above this one, but overall, I am very happy with the taste even though the ice is not crystal clear.

Easy to Install and works great!!!
Easy to install and works as described... I actually mounted it to back of refrigerator and it worked fine... I have no way to test the filtering so I am just going to assume that it is actually doing something... Water dripped from the spigot for a couple of days after install... but after using the water dispenser and ice dispenser a few times this stopped and all seems to be fine... I don't have any complaints... It seems to work great... As a side note I have a Samsung refrigerator and the Samsung filters and generic knock-offs all stopped working a couple of years ago... Apparently Samsung changed the filter design and now they will not work in older refrigerators... Samsung doesn't seem to care... so this fixed that problem and I don't have to change the filter nearly as often... Great solution... wish I had done this earlier...

No Documentation Provided
I bought this filter based on the extensive claims made. Upon receipt, I found no documentation on its actual performance in the box (as a matter of fact, the filter I received directly from Amazon didn't even have IN and OUT flow arrows, making me wonder if it is even a genuine part). Anyways, I went to the manufacturer's website and still couldn't find any documentation on NSF certification (or the independent lab they talk about). Sent them an email through their website a couple of weeks ago and never heard back. So... good luck trusting your and your loved ones health with this product since all I can see is claims with no evidence/certification to back them. They largely talk about meeting NSF 42 standard (which is merely on water odor/taste and has nothing to do with removing harmful stuff) and even that remains a claim with no actual evidence. There is also claims about lead, but it seems that it's actually referring to their product being "lead-free" not actually tested to remove lead from water. I'll gladly update this if I ever hear from the manufacturer.

Awesome Water Filter
This filter is used for my ice maker. It was easy to install and works like a champ. Its a bit bulky but that's due to the amount of years of service you're gonna get from this filter. Now my ice taste like nothing, which is a good thing. No more smelly or funky ice taste. Great buy. Will buy again.

low pressure!
I installed this inline water filter to my existing fridge water line. install was a breeze. just slice the water line, and put this in between.. no leaks with the included couplers. water is especially clear and great tasting, here in nevada with our hard water. eliminated the fishy smell. although, im also using my fridge water filter too... so im double filtering it. only downside is, after a couple months, water comes out in a trickle. loss of that great water pressure.. and takes a minute more just to fill my water bottle. my ice is also tiny now because of the lack of water, lol. i guess ill remove it soon if there isn't any way to modify this. im open to any suggestions. i'll probably try a fridge filter bypass to eliminate the other filter.. maybe it will probably help a little. hopefully...
