Only buy if you have Alarm.Com compatible systems !!!
Fast delivery and easy to install. This doorbell camera only WORKS with ALARM.COM systems. Don't buy this camera thinking that you can use it with the Skybell app. They make seperate cameras for that.Updated review 11/07/2021This camera has been in use now for 4 years. So far it still works. There are occasions where the image flakes out when doing a live view. Outside of that issue it records video just fine and has survived a few winters and summer heatwaves and continues to work great. Once again, only buy this camera if you have an active alarm service through a company that uses Alarm.com equipment. Brinks just purchased Alarm.com a few years ago, so this camera is now compatible with their systems.As I said earlier, it was easy to install and run. You will have to call your monitoring service and have them activate doorbell cameras on your account. Works great right now. Has full color capabilities in normal lighting conditions and limited range in night vision. Through your alarm company app you can change the color of the buttons led light, adjust the sensitivity for motion, adjust the volume on the doorbell (not the inside ringer), and save all videos. The doorbell is powered by your electrical connection, not batteries and will work with your current door chime unless it is digital, then you will need an adapter.Time will tell how well it holds up to Ohio winters. If it survives or dies I will post a follow up review.

Easy installation and with the Skybell App
I'm giving this a 5 Stars... Easy installation and with the Skybell App... It's been working beautifully... It's about time a company product does what it says.. It's nice that I can talk to visitors at work from my Skybell App... When I see it's a sale person, I tell them to go AWAY. LOL... Skybell is an excellent product... They got my vote..June 9, 2017,After talking to Skybell Tech Support, this item is designed ONLY for Alarm.com... I have returned this item to the Seller and waiting for Skybell Trim which will work with Skybell...

Great bell, camera, - 4 stars because of screw on bottom to hold bell to bracket sucks
This was a replacement for one that was installed about 9 months ago. The original Skybell works, just a piece at the bottom which keeps the bell snuggle to the mounting bracket, thus powered broke. There was not way to repair. So now I have two working Skybells. The bottom screw that hold the bell onto the bracket needs to be re-enigneered. I am hoping that this one last longer, otherwise I am going to have to look at something else.

DO NOT BUY! Incompatible with Skybell!
DO NOT BUY!!! This version is incompatible with Skybell and will only work with Alarm.com! After trying to connect this thing to Skybell, and trying EVERYthing to make it work, I called Skybell and they advised what I had was a special edition ONLY compatible with Alarm.com. From the obvious unprofessional repackaging and dubious documentation, the whole thing was suspect from the beginning. Please read this excerpt from my email to the seller, Smart Direct, when they advised me Skybell was incorrect: "As far as Skybell is concerned, it never occurred to me that they were lying about the incompatibility of the product. Even before I called Skybell, I was immediately concerned as the packaging looked to be homemade, and I was expecting official Skybell packaging for this level of product and pricing. Also, the instructions/documentation in the package pointed you to Alarm.com or Skybell for install directions, but Alarm.com had NO instructions at all (just said it was coming soon) and Skybell had no instructions for the slim line model. Actually, Skybell had no advertising at all for the Slim line version. I've since found that they have not released the consumer version for this, only the Alarm.com edition. I still followed the regular Skybell directions and I ensured my router/network met all the compatibility requirements. My 2.4ghz band was separate with its own SSID, and I had a consistent upload speed of 6 gigs at the doorbell. There was no router interference or environmental issues. I followed all the troubleshooting topics on the site, and I read through several forums and watched numerous videos to see what the issue could be to no avail. I'm pretty tech savvy, so believe me, I tried. In the end, it seems like Skybell doesn't officially support this version right now even if there is a way to make it work. The homemade /re-packaging of the product further supports that (to me), and its still being sold at the full price." So again, DO NOT BUY THIS... I've since moved on and purchased the Ring Pro. Without going into detail its a much better product/experience. I'll have separate review for that.

Instructions contradict each other. Hard to follow
Nice design but the product would not let you connect to your wifi and the instructions are just idiotic. As the purchaser you will need many hands to get this door bell camera to work properly; that's if you can get through all the back and forth instructions. Plus you may have to pay a great fee which is not stated anywhere !!

Works great with Alarm.com account
I have an alarm.com monitoring agreement already, and have video enabled, so the "limitations" mentioned previously didn't apply to me.Installation was very easy. Adding the doorbell to the account was a phone call to tech support to say "please add a video doorbell" and then setup was 5 minutes, maximum.Happy with image quality, and it looks good on the door.

Easy install not so easy link to system
Bought this doorbell to replace one just like it that lasted about a year. Hopefully this one lasts longer. At any rate, installing was a breeze, but then I had to work with my alarm company to get it paired up with my system. That wasn't a breeze. But it's done and as a DIY it saved me a service call and their upcharge on the equipment.

I have a ORBI Router and I have not yet ...
I have a ORBI Router and I have not yet got it to link to my WiFi. When I try to sync it it keeps telling me that it was unable to link to my WiFi and it could be that the password is not correct and try it again. I know this probably not your issue. I am waiting for skybell to call me back to see if they can help with the issue. I have went through all the checks for trouble shooting. Other than that I have no issue with your product.
