Great Product, recommended
Got it yesterday. As a Self-Defense Instructor, I use training knoves for all kinds of scenarios. This is my first purchase of this knife and it has held up to all my torture tests.I just got done driving an hour with it in my back pocket. Held up just fine and sprung right back into shape. I can see this one will be very hard to break or destroy. It is lighter than a real knife of like size, but has a great balance and I feel they got the size and look of a knife down as well as a good quality tool for training.Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to train with knives to get basics of knife fighting or defensive knife fighting techniques down, as this is not sharp or pointy by any means. The blade is just sturdy enough that if your hit with it, you know but gives before pain is a huge factor.I will be purchasing more in the future.

Excellent Training Tool
My kids and I attend self-defense classes which includes weapons defense training. As such, we rehearse at home what we learn in the dojo. ASP is a well-known maker of dummy weapons (most notably handguns and rifles) for handling and draw techniques. I was very pleased with the quality of the knife. It's made of very solid industrial rubber which doesn't feel like it will break or degrade over time. The weapon bends as expected when pushed hard into someone's side or chest, but otherwise serves it's purpose as a training tool. It's been tossed, kicked, deflected but doesn't show any wear or tear. The packaging was minimal, but quite frankly, what does one expect - it's a hunk of rubber! The heft is just a bit less than an equivalent metal knife but the intent isn't to teach the person how to use a knife offensively. Nonetheless, it could also serve in that capacity as well. Excellent buy - it was shipped on time and packed well during transit.

Made in America!
I am so glad these are made in America! I am also glad that they are orange so that they cannot be mistaken for a real a knife. My only criticism is that I wish they were made of a brighter shade of orange.

Good material, sturdy weight, decent length for practicing martial arts
Good material, sturdy weight, decent length for practicing martial arts. I purchased it because it's a bright color, rather than the color of a real knife, so it'll reduce the chance someone might mistake it for an actual threat if they see me holding it.Cosmetic note: It's a deeper red than the image depicts (see image), so it didn't match the color of my "Tiger Claw Red Training Runner Gun" that a purchased at the same time, but that's only cosmetic and doesn't reflect negatively on the product itself. But if you're purchasing these two items together, just be aware that they aren't the same color.

Great knife for drilling full contact
If you need a training knife for live drilling (going full speed with contact) on arms, legs and torso this is a good option. I wouldn't recommend strikes to the head without head/eye protection but otherwise it is my go to knife in live sparring and drills. I use a rigid training knife for disarm drills due to the flexibility of the blade, which make certain techniques unrealistic. The red is also useful in training for identifying the knife in a melee. I'd purchase again if I had the need for additional soft training knives.

I'm very satisfied.
I ordered the bright orange faux weapon so no bystanders would mistaken the training for anything other than training. This training tool has a bit of weight to it for some reality and it's not too stiff as to be dangerous. I'm very satisfied.

ASP stuff is pretty good, always has been
ASP stuff is pretty good, always has been. My only complaint with this product is that the rubber blade is flimsy. Cold steel's training knives are just as soft but the rubber blade is stiffer and feels more realistic when using. This item is still a good training aid, just wish the blade was a bit stiffer. After a while the material develops a memory and the knife has a bend in it.
