TRY-ITS - For Brownie Girl Scouts

I let the girls use it as an "idea book"/ "Try-It's" are fun! I have a mixed age Brownie-Junior Troop. This is their first year of each. I plan to have them earn all of their legacy's in the first year and we will do some journey books for our second year. BUT, I also want them to have their own voice & journey along the way too. So, I encourage them to read through some of the other books for ideas on how to earn more badges at home or with family and friends. I like that this book gives them a variety & has many directions/paths to choose from. Here, if they just want to do it as is OR it also allows them to change it a little or A LOT. Customized to their way!

This is a great way to augment the Girl Scout experience. Brownies (or any other Girl Scouts) are allowed to continue to earn retired badges if you can find the actual badges and the requirements. Since GSUSA cut down on the number of badges and did away with some of the skill building ones, this is an excellent resource. You can still find some of the retired badges on the GS shop website or other resellers. Definite help!

I wish I had bought this book first...instead of the handbook. This is the one with all the things the girls need to do to actually get a badge. Lots of cute activities.

We've gone Juliette and LOVE this book! Easy to follow and great for an independent motivated girl scout looking to earn badges on her own.
