Solves a storage problem
I got these to add local media storage to my Firestick and they work great.I use a thumbdrive and that works fine. I have a 4k and a 4k max. The max allowed me to connect a spinning hard drive but the regular 4k did not. It would shut off and go into a reboot. Seems there is some power issue with that setup. But it wasnt a big deal. I had a USB m.2 to use instead.

They powered two devices, but wouldn’t recognize the usb stick.

Tested both adapters on two different Samsung devices, consistently neither transfered charging current nor functioned as OTG adapters. Returned as defective.
