LED lights strip
A good LED light strip, long enough to work as ambient light on big TVs, easy to install and set up via its app, connecting it to Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Home Kit (Siri). Good brightness and nice colours.

Works ok
The strip is 2.8m long and comes with his own app but can be connected to smart lif as I`m using.Connecting with the app is very quick and as well with Alexa. The app himself has multiple options to change colour but not to mix them.I couldn't make the device to work his mic himself and needed it to be on the phone mic to enjoy the colour change on the music. What is bother me are two things:-the led flickers with no reason-the play of the colours is one after another and not multiple colours at once.At the time of my review, the price is £11.99 which is a bit disappointing.I hope my review and video can help you make a decison.

Rubbish connector spoils it
The media could not be loaded. Unfortunately the connector on these lights is very poor and doesn’t off much in the way of a secure connection. It’s looking like race to make the cheapest is on with this one cutting corners. I would spend a little more unless your handy with a soldering iron

Cheap ambient light with music sync. Short power lead though
The media could not be loaded. Led Strip Alexa 2.8M, WiFi Smart LED Strip, Compatible with Alexa Google Assistant ........Brand: OHMAXXThis LED ambient light strip comes in a much smaller box than I imagined. The LED lights are on a real like a real-real tape. The box also includes the controller, sticky pads, connector clip and some leaflets for setting up.The LED strip has a sticky back and can easily be stuck to the back of the TV, I started from the centre top so that I would have equal amounts either side, which worked out quite well. The controller plugs into a USB port on the back of the TV but unfortunately my TV won’t deliver enough power, you will need at least 1-amp, most TV’s will only supply 500mA (½-amp), so I had to connect it to a USB power adapter. Here is one of the problems as the USB lead is quite short, about 50cm!Installing the APP was straight forward although I didn’t have to do this as I already had the APP for other GoSund devices. The connection to WiFi via the APP for once worked without any problems and connected straight away. As I already have my Alex control other GoSund devices, that also picked the strip light up straight away, although I had to change the name to something more convenient to say.In use, well the first thing to note is the flicker, it is subtle but noticeable and a little off putting when having it set to a steady colour. The APP and Alexa have full control over the colours and brightness. You can select the music sync option on the APP (not sure about Alexa), once selected the colour and brightness will change to the beat of your music although the colour just cycles rather than linked to the beat. In this mode you don’t notice the flicker though and it is responsive. In conclusion, it works quite well especially for music sync but let down by the short USB power lead and the flicker when in ambient mode.

Nice Ambience
So I got these to go along with all the other RGB products I have for my gaming set up and they are such a nice edition. The great thing is they link to Alexa which is really good. You can also connect them to an app. I didnt download the one it recommends as I have an app that works with all the different brands its called Hombli and it still finds them. You have all different scenes etc you can set through the app as well if you want.
