Q: What keeps the plates from just falling over? It looks like the plastic rack would not be sturdy. Does it hold up well?

While the bulk of my dishes & cutlery are washed in the dishwasher every few days, every day there are items in regular use (like coffee mugs, teaspoons, mixing bowls, also pots and pans, etc.) that I wash by hand and put to drain either in the rack or on the mat itself. I particularly like it because, instead of sitting on the side of the sink in pools of water, everything dries very quickly indeed on the mat and can be put away or used again after a relatively short time without needing cloth drying. Although I am not sure it would support a number of large plates, like a larger more conventional "rack" would, I am finding it very useful and quite sturdy enough for my daily requirements.

Q: Hello, what is the size of only the small dish rack? I imagine 20x13 is the size of the drying mat? Thank you!

Measurements for my mat is 24"x 18" total. The dish rack is almost 8" x 17" held in place by elastic straps. This rack can be moved to the middle or the end of the mat, then remove for cleaning.

Q: How do you clean the microfiber base? Is it machine washable?

Yes this is machine washable - wash in cold water, tumble dry on low

Q: Can you order just the pad with the elastic bands? So far I’m using the rack with other pads I have when the one that comes with it is in the wash.
