I purchased 2 of these. The first one I tried in my downstairs and it worked great at first even in a that large area. The second I put in a bedroom (much smaller than the downstairs) and it didn't work at all. Acted just like a fan and rattled. I requested a replacement for this one but before I could open the replacement, the first one started leaking...a lot! It soaked through my carpet and started streaming across the floor. Nothing seemed fo help stop the leak and the cooling wasnt working any more either. I returned all 3. Very disappointed because of the amount of high reviews but it turns out they were for a completely different item.

This works very well to cool, and I loved that there wasn't anything to put together. Just add water and you are good to go. This doesn't blow a ton of air yet cools like a regular fan while keeping the air moving. My 17.5 year old cat Bella was especially thrilled with this, and enjoys sitting right in front of it.

I went through some reviews here and I thought this is a cool evaporated air cooler. But apparently my grand kids room is small it doesn't cool the room as people post here. I won't exchange because I hate exchanging. I would use with a fan. Also it doesn't go lower than 75. As per putting ice it melts to fast so there for the water gets warm. As 4 the bottle it comes with is not all that, u would have to put more ice to be cooler. This is my honest review. The noise is only the water noise which is ok.

This is a great fan for small spaces. The smaller the better. In fact, if you are within one foot of the fan you will get the maximum benefit. Comes with two small containers that allows you to freeze water. When coupled with lots of ice cubes in the water tank, they make no discernible difference in ambient temperature from anything else that blows hot air around, but the small containers are the perfect size for soothing a small injury. Is the air cooler because of this product? Yes. Can you do the same with a handheld fan of accordion-folded paper? Also Yes. This is certainly a luxury upgrade over said fan. Give it a try if you don’t want to tire your arm out, but you do want to spend a lot of money for a fan that also can hold a drawer full of melted water.

Like the title says don't be fooled by the great reviews. If you take the time to read through the reviews it is obvious that the reviews were about a smaller black metal fan. This "evaporator cooler" is junk! The first time it was used I filled it up with water and left for work only to come home to the water all over the floor. The water had sat most of the day on the floor because my flooring is laminate and it is popping up out of the groves now due to the water causing it to swell. It only blows air out that is about 2 degrees cooler than the atmospheric air. If you really want to be stubborn and keep this unit I'd recommend keeping it in some sort of pan or bucket to catch at least a gallon of water. I've tried to level the unit to make sure it wasn't something that was user error but no matter what I do the water keeps getting pumped out and onto the floor. Buy with caution if you for the need to purchase this item.

Very nice air cooler I got this for my bedroom because I do not have AC in my house and I wanted to be able to cool my bedroom down this worse like an air conditioner but 10 times better very easy to use very nice quality highly recommended for anybody’s looking for a nice air cooler that keeps their room nice and cool

Updated: While we loved this product at first it seems that it was a short lived love. We take the tray out twice a week to clean the pink slime. Unfortunately, three nights ago we woke to water dripping onto my wood dresser and onto the carpet. Thought i spilled water when i filled it. Next night the same rhing happened water everywhere. So tonight we put a towel down to see if it happens again. Sure enough pouring out from the side. So i have a soaked carpet and stained wet velvet inside my dresser. We had it only 6 weeks and of course its only got a 30 day guarantee. This was a lot of money for nothing. We should have spent an extra 150$ and got a small window unit for the hassel we just dealt with. This really helped us cool down our master room which is huge. The cooling packs really do make a difference when you use them. It also works well with just the fan going. We have only had this for a few weeks and use it every night. My only issue is the two cooler packs that come with it. After a week of using them they broke open and spilled the coolant stuff out in the freezer. Easy enough to clean but disappointed that the main product used in the unit to cool couldn't make it more then a week. Looks like we will need to find thicker cooling packs to place in the water. Other then that this helps keep thi gs much cooler.

This is definitely not for large spaces. It is a little better than a strong fan. A small space it works pretty well. Do not mistake this for a portable AC because it is not. I like the design and use for a small room.
