I've never tried it, but if you do, I.think maybe a very thin coat of piping gel brushed around the cake so the lace adheres. Hope it works out. I love this product. Happy caking!

Sure, the edible lace can be used over the whip cream.

Q: How to I attach the lace to a hard cream surface?

Supposedly, you wet and attach. I was not successful and ended up scraping. The laces broke or dissolved. Too little or too much water, but I tried various levels. And that was attaching to buttercream not fondant.

Q: Do you brush with gold dust before applying to the cake or after its on the cake?
