The Original Garage Door Sensor Protector, Sun Shade, Compatible with Liftmaster and Chamberlain Garage Door Sensors, Made in The USA

House faces due East and recently started having issues with our garage door not closing anytime between 9:30 AM and noon eastern. Ordered the “Original Garage Door Sensor Protector” and installed them May 12 on Chamberlain 41A5034 sensors. Installation was quick and simple, so far no issues closing our garage door since installing them. Product feels solid and durable.

It took us a while to figure out that our garage door wasn't closing because during a certain time of the year, in the morning, the sun was hitting the door sensor just right. This caused the sensor to think something was in the way so the door wouldn't close. I tried making a few shields myself but to no avail. I found this item and thought I would give it a try. It installed very easily and immediately solved our problem! So happy it works, and happy to support an American entrepreneur.

I have got the give the person credit that came up with this. It really works. Now my garage door will close. GREAT!

This product is well made and was easy to install. Unfortunately it did not solve my issue with the sun hitting my sensor. Just be careful because if the sun’s angle is directly hitting sensors these will not help. So there is a certain time, during a certain part of the year where the angle is just right and they don’t work. Otherwise they work great.

Simple solution that works perfectly. Highly recommend this product if you’re having issues with bright light interference with your light sensor. The seller included a flyer that provides background on the business… a college student who started solving problems like this when he was in middle school.

Works great and simple to install

new garage door installed in mid-December, worked fine until mid Feb, then all of a sudden the door would refuse to close certain hours of the day. (was fine at night or early morning). Diagnosed a sun issue. Called the installer, sent out a tech. He looked at this product which I had ordered, and said "oh man you got the good ones". The product he would have installed was cheap folded cardboard. He installed this product and the problem appears to have gone away.
