Good Little Boring Bars and Inserts!
Purchased these Nov. 2022 and finally got around to using one of these boring bars.Worked excellent for what I needed, although I was just opening up the bore of some pvc connectors.I will update review after using the other bars and using on steel and aluminum if these don’t hold up as they should.

Boring bar
This was purchased to open up rear sights on Masuer 98 rifles so they will fit new barrel and I needed new boring bars anyway.

Worth your time to try out! Very Satisfied
The media could not be loaded. So far these are great inserts. I have some large 2in all-thread of unknown steel and they did a good job of light cuts, taking 5thou off a pass. My machine is a Logan 917 so I won't be taking deep cuts.But they did a good job on breaking the chips into 1in long curls. No bird nesting. I have only used the profile tool holder at this time, but very satisfied on the cut quality of these inserts.Will be setting up a test for the boring bar soon, but I have not been successful with this machine unless I use a endmill. So if this boring bar works it will open up a lot of capability for me.I plan to buy some name brand inserts to use and I assume they will increase the quality of cut, so great entry tool holders to gain some skill.

Worked like a charm!
The media could not be loaded. This little boring bar surprised me! It works like a charm. Because it's so small I was only taking .007" to .010" at a time. In the video, I'm taking .007" off for the last pass. I'm am using it to bore the receiver on a custom PCP AIRGUN for the BCG.

Inserts do not seat properly
2 of the 4 holders would not allow the carbide insert to seat properly. When tightened, the screw forced the rear vertical edge of the insert against the vertical holder seat which raised the bottom of the insert off of it's seat .030" at the front of the bottom seat which is below the cutting edge. This is due to the incorrect angle of the vertical seats in the holder. Also, there are burrs on the outer edges of the holder that would need to be removed before use.
