This book actually works. Buy this book and change your life.
I usually don't write reviews. The most I usually do is rate something after Amazon sends me an email. I am paying it for by writing one for this book. I am also returning a favor to all the reviewers I depend on before buying something on Amazon. I love this book. It is a fast read. The author is funny and it has lots of pictures. I read it in 3 days. I don't usually finish reading books either. I could have read it in one day but I have 3 kids and a job. I was so inspired to declutter that I started decluttering after only reading half the book at work when I got home the same evening. It's changed my life. No exaggeration. I have several books on decluttering and organizing, including Marie kondo and Peter walsh, this is the best one. I feel in control. The author, cas aarssen, gives detailed advice on where to start and what kind of "clutterbug" you are. I wanted to suggest my favorite chapter but the whole book is great advice. The picture I added is her in/out system. Learn about it in her book. I paid for this book. I did not get it for free. I also subscribe to her YouTube channel.

If I wanted a pile I wouldn't need a book LOL
I'm not a young Mom just starting out. I'm an older person with years of bad habits under my belt. If "I" can find something that inspires me as much as this wonderful young woman and her smart, sassy, silly, nurturing, down to earth style then everyone will. I saw myself in her pages just as I've seen myself in her YouTube videos. I've already made big changes and am reaping the benefits.. As we age we might not have the patience or energy on some days to run around like a chicken with our heads cut off trying to find that "whatchathingy" we KNOW we own. We get tired of wasting time finding that bill or coupon or list we KNOW we JUST saw. With the kid years behind us we often yearn for peace and a tidy organized home. Cass knows how we feel and she has an idea how to fix it. No little shrines to your ratty tee shirts, no goodbye notes to your chipped plates . This is a book for those of us who don't have time for that foolishness..we want to live our lives and DO things. In short we want our homes to serve us not the other way around. THANK YOU Cass for putting into words what we know in our hearts, Oh and as final note..the book is pretty and will look lovely on your clean bookshelf

LOVE IT!!!!!!!
I'm in a declutter and cleaning mode. I love Cass!! . . . I watch her YouTube channel all the time. She's funny, honest but most of all she expresses her real personality on those videos. The same is true in her book. I'm a fan. Her techniques and honesty has made a huge difference in how to I keep my house clean. I had my mom over to my house and I told her that I rearranged my linen closet. As I opened the linen closet door, I was looking at my mom's face. Her jaw dropped!! . . . LITERALLY ... HER JAW DROPPED!! That was because of Cas's tips.Knowing what type of "clutterbug" I am helped me select the type of organization tools that I incorporate in my home. I'm a Cricket. If you read the book you'll know what I mean. BUY THIS BOOK!!Here are a few of my declutter and organization projects, including my linen closet. These are all "after" pics. I was too embarrassed to take "before" pics.

one of the best investments i've made in my home
seriously loving this book! very aptly named, and yes, the 'clean and clutter free in 15 minutes' IS not only 'possible' but *gasp* possible for ME with my A.D.D. BRAIN! (along with what USED to be perfectionist-paralyzation from being massively overwhelmed). my house is looking better and better every single day and on a VERY tight single-income budget

Finally a realistic organization book! PERFECTION
I've read many organizing books and this is by far the BEST! She offers REALISTIC organizing ideas! It's not some unattainable Pinterest facade...but what a working mom and wife like myself can Attain! I was blown away when saw that the back of the book was filled with lists, charts, and guides that she herself uses, and she provided them for us 👍🏼 I will be buying a few more to give away. I can not say enough great things about this book! I truly hope this is one of many more to come from this author. 5 stars all the way!

Entertaining and Informative
Since I watch Cas (Clutterbug) all the time on YouTube, I didn't really think I needed the book. I only bought it because I like her so much and wanted to support her. Well, I was wrong - having the book is very handy to have all the information in one place. So, even if you think you know all her tricks, this really puts it all together. Clutterbug's friendliness, humor, and warmth really comes through. Like many of you out there, I have bought many organization books and each one has some great tips. But this one really speaks to me. My kids are all grown up but I wish I had this when my kids were smaller.

Best book ever on letting go of clutter
I love this book! I don't know if it's really better than the dozens or more I've read over the years, of if it just came at a good time, but this book empowered me to let go of stuff I have thought I just needed to adequately store. It is so freeing. My kitchen, bedroom closet, and laundry room are new places. Next is my desk and then my business supply and tools hall and then the hall closet and steps to garage (which I keep half of one step regularly covered :- ) and then I can tackle the garage and shed. Oh my. Extra air to breathe, and happy feelings whenever I walk through those places and open those doors. Thank you Cassandra!

Got rid of it after reading 1/3 of the book
Through 1/3 I found myself tossing it away. The author is horrible. In one page, she mentions that if you don't know where your "hidden clutter" is, you should take a picture of the space and look at it. And she said it's the same thing as when you look at a picture of yourself and don't realize that's you. Then she exemplifies with herself: when I look at a picture of mine, I can't believe that's me. In my head I'm a babe.I was like.. wtfThe issue here is that she's basically saying that "she's not as pretty in real life as she thought she was".The world has enough problems with unrealistic beauty standards and she's not helping by putting it negatively on her book that reaches millions of people. And on another page, she tells you about a conversation with a client that had issues letting things go and changing things places, and at the end of the conversation she wrote "facepalm".Like, no, that's plain rude and jerk move. You do not facepalm your clients that clearly have some sort of mental health issue. That's when I decluttered this book.2 stars because I found a couple of good tips on that 1/3 of the book in the middle of a lot of unnecessary text.

Real advice for real life!
I recently read the “other” decluttering book that everyone is reading and although I loved it and it inspired me, I found it wasn’t very practical. When it came to implementing the advice I found it difficult. If you have a clutter problem gathering all your stuff into one big pile is the last thing you want to do.Real Life Organising, on the other hand, is a bit of me! It’s written for someone who wants to organise in small chunks of time, when they get a chance, between the million other things they need to do. Organising using this method won’t leave your home in a chaotic mess if you don’t have the time to get everything done that day.I’m about halfway through the book and I’ve gotten so many tips already. The best thing was discovering the type of “clutter bug” I am and which type my other half is. If you understand why messes appear in certain places in your home, you can put a proper system in place that will last. My home is looking a lot better. The charity shop has done very well in the past two weeks!Read it and enjoy a tidy and organised home. Just let go of all that stuff you don’t need!

Inspirational.
Moving from a 3 bed bungalow to a 1 bed flat I have already had to seriously declutter, but there are still areas that need to be addressed. Reading this book has inspired me to go through everything again and also put some of the organisation ideas into practice. Like Cassandra I also tend to procrastinate, but hopefully if I follow her routines my home will "give me a hug" !!
