Works as it should
I bought this for case sizing and factory seating of 380 rounds. Although bulge busting is usually not an issue with 380 cases, it does make sure the cases will chamber properly in my gun. I shoot a lot of plated bullets so you have to be careful not to over crimp. The die seems to work well.

Excellent Lee quality.
Crimp die for 0.380 ACP cartridge. Helps ensure the bullet stays seated and secure to avoid ammunition reliably issues. Recommend it.

Does exactly what I expected it to do
Every now and then I get a reloaded cartridge with a slight bulge near the case mouth. It's not obvious, but when it gets stuck half-way into the chamber, it can ruing my day at the range. With this Factory Crimp die, the cartridge is re-sized after it is reloaded, finishing up with a crimp that I can adjust to suit me. It's an extra step, but I don't have problem cartridges to stall my shooting, and it also eliminates the need to trim cases for accuracy. Great product!Not sure what's going on at Amazon - my package was delivered on time, but when I opened up the product box, it was empty. I sent it back to Amazon and they got it right the second time. The delivery envelope was sealed, so the die went missing at the warehouse.

Best way to crimp your rounds.
I had the 3 die set for my 380 loads but didn't have the factory crimp die and that's like having 3 tires on your car, it just isn't complete! I've always preferred seating and crimping bullets in separate steps. Although the seating die will crimp a round, the more crimp you apply, the further you seat the bullet into the case which can be dangerous. Setting that die up to just seat the bullet to the proper depth then using the factory crimp die to do the crimping keeps the bullet at the depth you wanted. As a bonus, this die also sizes the case to make sure it will chamber properly. It can also be used (with certain calibers) together with Lee's Bulge Buster set up to smooth out the cases and get rid of that bulge that forms toward the base of the case and can't be removed when sizing the case. I have been collecting these dies for as many calibers that I can in both handgun and rifle that I reload. You can use this die along with any brand die set you may already have or buy the deluxe Lee set that includes it. I got lucky and found a used one on Amazon and saved a few bucks so that made it all the better. This is a necessity in my opinion.

Works for my purpose.
Bought item to use with LEE Bulge Buster system. WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!! Sizes all shells to nominal sizes, and all will feed and fire without issue. I have 4-5 of these dies, and all work exceedingly well!

If you want your reloads to be high quality and reliable, always use a Factory Crimp Die.I've used FED'S on all the calibers I reload, and I've been satisfied and impressed from day one.
